Just dropping by to say that this mod still provides me with ample amounts of fun and joy. This is amazing and I thank the creators for it, it's a great nostalgic piece of artistry and while far from perfect, it is just such fun to play from time to time, a few times a year.

I'd like to throw in my 2 cents and wish you good luck on your project, I look forward to playing it once it's released. Looking at the excellence of Armada 3 and the effort that went into it I'd say this will turn out very well.
I just have a few questions that I'd like to ask, if it's no trouble ofcourse.
1) Can we assume that you're planning on adding as many races into the game as possible? Because I'd love to play as Species 8472 one day, I loved their bioships and in my opinion, they have a very unique alien vibe that would fit perfectly in Stellaris' original theme.
2) How will ship-models be handled? I know you have an Era in mind and I respect that very much, I'm just curious if it'd be possible to, maybe, make different Era ships available as a different ship-set? Or do you intend to use the module-system to create multiple variations?
3) On the topic of Research, how will you make sure each race uses their canon tech? Considering every tech-tree is the same in Stellaris (except for random luck, rare technologies and such), how do you intend to allow people to roleplay their race?

It is probable however that with the remastered homeworlds they can increase the detail of the ships.. but still not to this standard..

He didn't sound rude in any way to me, he started his sentence with "I don't want to be rude", which should sometimes indicate (I say sometimes) that the person really does not mean any offense, he explained himself in a polite and decent, although a bit general tone.
If a person can't take any criticism it is not really the fault of the critic as it is the fault of the receiving party (not pointing fingers at anyone here, seriously), but since he didn't offer a solution it sounds like a "hater venting hate"..
It's fine to not have a suggestion ready for something you don't like, the difference is when he would have been demanding it to be changed..
Actually, he just voiced his opinion a bit awkward at the ending so it looked like he was speaking ill of everyone else, which is something you watch out for but also something that happens to us beings called humans..
He got far too much negative karma for something as innocent as that..
I think it's amazing and not just because I'm a "fan" of the mod.. It's minimalistic.. You can't say "you need minimal photoshopping skills for this so it's bad".. It's not bad because of that but because you see something you don't like, which is nothing to be ashamed off.. you said it in a polite manner but your last sentence made it sound too general, being:
"... will tell you its really amazing, when it really isn't"
I know you meant it from your opinion but this one might rub people the wrong way.. As I said, I like this menu but there would be 1 thing I'd change, being the Mods Title, I have to admit that for me, it does look a little cliché and 1990's with the background shadow on it.. Maybe try an outline or something? But that's just my 2 cents so..
1 and 2 are most iconic in my opinion, really nice work!
The intrepid was a state-of-the-art ship made with the best resources and technology available at that time, it is as capable as a galaxy-class in any sense except for combat, the galaxy is a more cumbersome ship but strong and able to dish out damage while an intrepid was meant for speed and independence.. It WAS meant to "boldly go where no man has gone before"...
That was uncalled for, especially since he was right.. If you had looked at the image instead of skimping over it you'd have noticed it.
Also, pretty darn nice model and in my opinion it's done, I think if you put more emphasis on it you'll lose the real star-trek feel and go more for the bombastic "popping-eyeballs" effect.
