Centrifugal is an installation art which consists of video mapped onto an extruded surface of four concentric circles. It's a collaborative video art project enhanced with original sound design that explores possibilities of circular motion and implications of centrifugal force.

Original soundtrack released as a single consists of the sound design accompanying the original installation of Centrifugal.

You can watch the full video captured at MixerArts exhibition and read more on the installation art on my blog post. The Behance page for Centrifugal also includes the full video footage and some images from the exhibition.

The soundtrack is available on near 100 digital stores. Use the store links below or search "Centrifugal Original Soundtrack" on your favourite music app to reach the soundtrack single.

I realized the overall production like composition, editing and 2D animations. 3D animations and valuable creative and technical support are supplied by Ugur Engin Deniz.

The general composition of the music video consists some of characteristic Amiga elements. Which are:

Leading roles:

• Amiga opening screen asking for a floppy
Kickstart1_3-640x480

• Orange Amiga cursor
Amiga-G-DOS-cursor

• Guru Meditation error screen
GuruMeditation01

Supporting Roles:

• AmigaDos screen
Amiga-G-DOS

• Workbench screen
Amiga-G-Workbenchb

In addition to those, scrolling text is placed in order to embrace Amiga cracktro culture. Ugur Engin Deniz, a friend of mine that I shared some early drafts, who is also a video artist suggested to place some Amiga-like animations in order to reflect the feeling of Amiga demos. Then he provided all the 3D animations in the music video.

Most of the elements in the music video is highly coordinated with the music. So some flicker effects and 2D animations are handled frame by frame using a technique similar to stop-motion.

In this 1080p full HD music video, some clips used needed to be resized to 640×480 or 320×240 and resized back to 1920×1440. But video editors were destroying the authentic pixel look because of the bicubic approzimation and smoothing algorithms used for resizing the video. Because of this reason the required clips are exported as individual PNG frames and resized to 640×480 or 320×240 and back to 1920×1440 using Photoshop’s nearest neightbourhood algorithm (1 pixel equals 3 pixels). Then the resulting images are brought back together as video sequences again.

Of course this music video is on a very different style then a video that might have been produced in Amiga. My main intention was to make feel the taste of the Amiga times and share my enthusiasm both with the ones that catch and miss that era.

I hope you watch it with pleasure. Share it, like it if you do so:)

“I Miss My Amiga 500″ was first released on 14 January 2013 as a bonus track in Analog Sheep’s original soundtrack album for the video game Rad Skater Apocalypse. Rad Skater Apocalypse is developed by Muzboz Games.

Cosmoplan, the puzzle/action game that I made original orchestral music and SFX is published on iOs and Android after a development process that took almost a year. You can get Cosmoplan from here:iTunesGoogle Play

Cosmoplan is a game about the obscurity of space and the human instinct of discovery. In the game, we control a space shuttle made of sub-modules and try to reach a target planet without crushing into any obstacles. In order to achieve this, we need to estimate our path in advance and arrange the angles between the modules . After the launch, we can only change direction by ejecting the modules that we’ve set different angles with right timing. During our voyage, we try to collect three stars spread around the space. The deeper we travel in the space we face asteroids, planets that we can make use of their orbits, worm holes that we can get through and plasma giants driving electricity through the space.

The idea behind the theme and the gameplay of Cosmoplan depends on the game “Atilgan (venturous, also USS Enterprise of Star Trek series in Turkish TV broadcast)” that we made during the jam with theme “Atilim (Breakthrough)” held within the National Informatics Congress 2012 (Ulusal Bilisim Kurultayi). Our team in this 48 hour jam was consisting of me, Emrah Ozer, Murat Kalkavan and Tarik Kaya. During the event we wanted to approach the politic breaktroughs of nations with humour. National space programs were very convenient for this approach. The core mechanics of the game were inspired from the space shuttles leaving the modules that gone out of fuel behind. The name Atilgan (venturous) was a pun in Turkish for the theme of the game jam Atilim (breakthrough). Plus, since the Turkish TV translated USS Enterprise of Star Trek series to Turkish as Atilgan, we also said hi to the famous science fiction series.

After the game jam we liked the idea much and we decided to push further the the 48 hour prototype by developing it into a complete game and publishing it. Although the idea of travelling in space still stays same, the background theme evolved from breakthrough to discovery and obscurity, leaving the humouristic part behind. Eventually the game art style evolved into pinup with references to what we can see in 60′s and 70′s as in Russian posters and sci-fi movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The game was developed by Emrah Ozer, one of the founding members of the group Game Developers Turkey (GDT). The visuals were designed by the experienced illustrator Murat Kalkavan. Tarik Kaya gave great support during the level design and concept development phase. And I composed original orchestral music fitting the style of the new artistic look and reproduced the orchestra completely artificially in computer.

I composed original music and made the vocalisation for the children’s game "Minti Kids Dress Up Luca". For the vocalisation of the teddy bear Luca I used my own voice. Luca's voice also accompany the menu music as if Luca is trying to decide what to wear while the song is playing in the background early in the morning. The game is published for iPhone and iPad by Minti Kids.

In the game, we help cute teddy bear Luca to choose its dress and we create our own unique fashion. After dressing up Luca it is possible to take pictures of your children together with Luca using the built-in camera. Suitable for ages 2 and up, accompanied with joyful music and animation Luca may become a close friend of your kid’s.

You can download the game from iTunes:
Minti Kids Dress Up Luca

I composed original music and made the sound effects (except vocals) for the children’s game “Minti Kids Fruits & Veggies“. The game is published for iPhone and iPad by Minti Kids.

In the game, kids can choose between four seasons and solve three pieces of simple mix & match puzzle to discover which fruits & vegetables grow in which season. As kids solve these puzzles, they learn the name of fruits & vegetables by hearing its pronunciation and seeing how they are written. Suitable for ages 3 and up, the game brings lovely fruit and vegetable characters, joyful music, kid-friendly illustrations, English, French, Turkish and Arabic pronunciations.

Boulevard of Electric Dreams from my electronica project Analog Sheep‘s first EP Rad Skater Apocalypse Soundtrack became the first song to hit 1.000 plays on SoundCloud.

Boulevard of Electric Dreams is an Amiga and chiptune inspired dance track with pure analog sound, progressive structure based on synth riffs oriented from rock music and melodic synth solos again based on progressive rock.

I composed the piece in 2012 for the game Rad Skater Apocalypse made by the independent game developer Muzboz from Australia. The game is an arcade runner in which a skater boy takes his synthesizer under his arm and tries to rescue the world from 8 bit zombies and aliens. The game is published on iPhone and iPad. Recently, the game became free for download and the free version is called “Rad Skater Apocalypse Boom!”.

In 2012, I made three Amiga inspired retro pieces for the soundtrack of the game Rad Skater Apocalypse and published them under my electronic music project Analog Sheep. The game has now been released in a FREE version “Rad Skater Apocalypse Boom!”. Now it’s a universal build that works on iPad and iPhone.

You can download the game for free here: Rad Skater Apocalypse Boom! on iTunes

Rad Skater Apocalypse is the first game of independent developer Murray Lorden (Muzboz Games) from Australia. Murray has worked for 10 years in the Melbourne games industry, and has now packed his knapsack, and set off for his own indie adventures.

Check it out
, if you haven’t played it already. It starts off gently, and introduces the new baddies, hazards and powers as you clock up some more point, so give it a go for a few minutes and things start to heat up. :) Once you’ve unlocked stuff, it stays unlocked, so you don’t have to sit through the quiet bit after that.

And here is the soundtrack EP that I made for Rad Skater Apocalypse. It includes all the three tracks from the game plus the bonus track "I Miss My Amiga 500", a vintage tribute to the Amiga era.

"Misket Dance (Misket Havasi)" is an interesting Turkish folk dance with a melody appearing only in synchops. And here goes the chiptune electro swing interpretation of Misket Havasi from my electronic project Analog Sheep.

The piece is made on request for the video game for children on iOS, "Misket ile Kismet, Bir Ankara Macerasi" (Misket and Kismet, an Ankara Adventure) by Zbam Game Studio and Municipality of Ankara.
