Edward's Dairy

Many people ask me, why my art is so dark?
Chaos, desperate, loneness, fear, evil, betrayal, unfaithful, killing……
As you can see, I am a crazy man, a freak, a so-called “artist”.
What I’m telling you is, I have nothing in common with darkness.
I rejected darkness. I fear that it’s going to swallow me.
It is what I saw since I was born.

The dark is always surrounding me.
When it’s getting close to me, I can’t help twitching.
This makes me too painful to live.
I paint the darkness to ease my pain.
When it’s on my canvas,
It’s not in the air anymore
It won’t hurt me, it won’t hurt my soul.

I’m still painting
Painting all alone
Only to find the darkness a home, to leave me alone.
Mary, please forgive me.
