It is an MRPG (Multiplayer RPG).
We are woking on a hotfix for the linux client and linux dedicated server and will release it soon.
Additional feedback by linux users will be required to find and fix more bugs/problems in the linux version. More information on that will follow soon.
I updated the download link to point to the correct location.
I'm sorry about that. The RPG-X Complete Edition is based on arrangements between The Last Outpost and the holders of the copyright and is not under the control of Ubergames. They recently had big problems with their servers and the file was moved to a new location.
Here is a link to it: Last-outpost.net
No support at home and no plans for change in near future as far a I'm aware of. Can't check my university right now but last time I checked it was IPv4 only.
There are groups that do serial role plays as well as people doing random role plays ...
Most people use rpgxEF combined with the beta which is not yet included in the installer yet but the guys from TLO are working on including it into the installer as well.
Meanwhile rpgxEF and the latest beta are available at Rpgxef.hennecke-online.net.
Stay tuned for a big update on what has been happening since the last news.
I'm sorry there weren't any updates for such a long period but I had not much spare time for RPG-X and used all of it to work on the mod.
Thank you. I'm doing my best. With Lua scripting adding interaction got alot easier. I even considering whether it might be possible to create a coop mode ... the biggest problem are the bots as they simply aren't made for something like this.
Yeah we now, but the EF2 Master Protocol seems to have changes in the getserversReponse so EF2 can't parse the information from from the Quake 3 Master Protocol's reponse message.
I'm working on this but not knowing what these changes are it's very hard work, some parts of it beeing guesswork.
Sorry for the bad quality. I'll upload one with much better quality as soon as possible.
