Though we arrived late to the party so to speak we did fight independently of all other entente nations with the exception of the 93rd Infantry Division. To exclude the United States in the mod and put them under command of the French is a great historical fallacy and does discredit to the Doughboys who fought and died in the Trenches. I think you as developers should reconsider this position on American troops within the mod. This is just my two cents.

We had our own field artillery, we had our own supply corps and signallers, we had our own engineers, we had medical corps, we had a flying corps, we had our own machine gun units. We had dismounted CAV we had tanks. It would be a greater insult to have the Americans as French "mercenary's" than to opt to not include them at all.

*I wish it to be known that this response does not come from a jingoistic or nationalistic or nationalistic point of view but rather from the point that we made no small contribution to the war efforts. We raised an army of over 4 million men we helped turn the tide in many sectors such as the Somme, Ste. Mihiel and the Argonne, we distinguished ourselves at Champagne and at the Marne. We lost well over a hundred thousand men in a war that was not our own. I come from the point of view of fair representation at least make them a minor power that can be played independently, if not, don't include them at all. They fought for the Flag, not the Froggies (with all due respect) Pershing himself refused to let the AEF be put under French command and to be honest he did not even like parting with a Colored Division considering how he earned his nickname. He instead led the AEF independently but in support of Entente Actions
