The magnetic coils have to be placed around the MAC tube to provide a stable, uniform magnetic field if the magnets are just at the bottom of the launching tube it would cause the MAC slug to destabilize and plummet towards the magnets. The MAC is based off a coilgun design and as you can see in this link: En.wikipedia.org the magnets have to be assembled around the launching tube.
The MAC is not at the bottom of the ship, the superstructure is built around the MAC and reactors, which is why in theory the PoA in H:CE should not have been able to receive the upgrades it did, especially as it is a Halcyon class cruiser which used a honeycomb super structure, it would be un-feasible to have modifictions it had done. Tangent aside, the Archers would be place where ever there is easy access without taking too much space up for the crew to reload the tubes.
No it's not the same model from FLCE, but it looks awfully similar, perhaps he used the FLCE UH as a base model. The FLCE UH is a LOT more detailed than this one, and the middle section bit is greatly different.
A fantastic looking game, absolutely amazing. I hope this works. I'd love to play it, and I'd definitely buy the game!

Hello, this mod looks amazing, however I see you have a lack of Covenant models.
I however have a fair few and if you would like to take a look and use some in your mod I would be more than happy to help, I also have a lot of UNSC models aswel if you want to look at them also.

Very nice, wouldn't say I like it as a Halo ship myself,
I always considered the Carriers as a same design to the Marathon and the Halcyon, but very well done,
This looks brilliant.
Not all UNSC had a MAC, or even needed on, Carriers for one wouldn't have to have a MAC, as they have fighter craft and such.
The Hopeful is two refit stations fitted together,

We have the Hopeful, FFG Frigate and the Rapier.
you wont be able to use those models in game,
I know because I know the creaters,
They reach around 50k+ polys,
I also hope you asked for permission off Liam887 and Warsock to use those models.

When do you say working, what do you mean?
We have the pre-alpha and we are currently on the later stages of the green vs gold alpha for players to test it.
However Green vs Gold is a closed server and you will therefore need to apply on the forums to join the game.

There is another Hamachi server it's the same as the first but with a two at the end of the name,
However as the server is ran by members of the players it might not be up, so be warned about that.
MP only, but if you run FLserver.exe you can play it yourself.
Indeed, we realized this with the Development pre-alpha release, so we are no longer going to make a openSP mod.
I myself don't play HL2 but this looks pretty amazing,

That is indeed how it will work, we may build a separate installer into the mod, however as of yet we will just use it with FLMM, however to prevent cheaters we have a new system of encoding the files.
Not straight away, but we will be implementing a OpenSP mod into it.
If you idiots don't know how to stop FL crashing, you shouldn't be saying the mod team is crap. It's simple, Delete your saved games in, My doc--> My Games-->Freelancer-->Accts and delete that folder.
Just a Heads up, to join in the Alpha you will need to join on the forums and register and such.
