Hey ive got a question.

Was the cookie moinster really banned from sesime street?? My mate was like "yeah he got banded cos it told kids that addiction was good".

If they banned him then they should deffinately not be showing Disney to little kids.
Dear people of the world:

  • Jasmine was in a relationship with a dirty homeless boy named Aladdin
  • Snow White lived alone with 7 men. Just cos they were small doesnt mean they werent still men
  • Pinnochio was a liar
  • Robin Hood was a thief
  • Tarzan walked around without any clothes on
  • A stranger kissed Sleeping Beauty and she married him
  • Cinderella lied and snuck out a night to go to a party

So you cant blame us. We were taught to rebel since a young age. :P

Guard and Wahammer oldschool paint fest

Glowstick_Rebel Blog

Well, its been like 3 weeks, and after looking for the correct paint and all the distractions of life, i have FINALLY painted a small squad of (i hope) gooood imperial guard.

Now, these arent your average gaurdsman, these are Steel Legion. I no the workshop/forgeworld in all its glorious wisdom decided to discontinue this particular design (feel free to correct me if im wrong) but this was something i needed.

Ive been wanting to try my hand at the Legion for a while and finally managed to "aquire" a few so ill post them tommorow, there are some storm troopers and a few normal metal guard in there but thats cos i wanted to make a whole squad. Ill post the best to the group.

Now also, i was given by some one at some point in time the oldstyle warhammer and was waiting to get my 40k out the way before starting on them. So when i did i was running out of paint so had to improvise abit. I hope they are up to standard so ill post them on my site but no where else. a few are missing an arm but they have been in a box for a WHILE.

Anyways, hope you enjoy them all, and as always, feel free to comment ect
If you would like some more, just tell me and ill try and find some better light
see you on the other side

My Stuff

Glowstick_Rebel Blog

I have been collecting Warhammer 40K for a while and like any modler, i have many factions with in my collection.
I love the fact that you can paint your armys however you want, theres a worls of colour at your fingertips (well paintbrush if your being technical). As well as custom paint jobs, conversions are always fun to have a go at. But what really annoys me are those 40 year olds who think they know everything just because they are older and have a major go at you because your paint scheme "isnt in the codex". You know what you guys can do, go fuck yourselves.

Any way back to modeling, the factions i have are: Orks, Tau, Imperial Guard, Space Marines and the Inquisition. As you can see, i do like the human factions.

Orks are great with their brawn over brains mentality, this is awsome in close combat but sucks when your shooting because they just cant aim. I love the rule that any tank from a faction can be converted to your faction, Orks are probobly the best faction to do this with because the salvage everything anyway. I mean i once saw a Hive Tyrant with an Ork rider, sooo epic.

Tau, comunist blue people with awsome fire power. The power of thier guns does rule and all their tech like the battle suits and tanks are always welcome. But i think there is a down side, the amount of relience on drones. I mean these things piss me off, such as the sniper drones which are 4 drones straped with a sniper rifle each and controled by one guy. quite annoying.

Imperial Gaurd are just spectacular. With a wide range of men, machines and weapons who cant like them. But their front line infantry are rather weak which is a disadvantage on the battle field resulting for the need of large numbers of troops. As well as this i love painting the tanks, with all the battle scars and the paint the crews have put on is really fun.

Space Marines are just in a leauge of their own. The tech thats avaliable for them is astonishing, also the fact that only one is needed to man a heavy bolter rather than 2 like the imps have to is a nice factor. They have alot of machinery which is pretty sweet to paint. But all Space Marine units all look the same, like the rhinos, it takes a lot to make them look individualistic and thats what i like to do. Give each an indivdual take on a paint scheme so each is special.

The Inquisution ar just crazy so are quite fun ti weild on the feild of battle. i mean theres something special in charging a unit of crazy space nuns into a pack of traitor gaurd with out a regard for the consequences. Also the Grey Knights are awsome specially with their spears. But i do love the assasins. Its an experience when you put a Guard unit against an assasin and see how much damage they can don before they get killed.

That was some of the awsome stuf that goes on in general, i shall post some pics of some of the stuff ive been working on recently. So feel free to comment.

Much apreciated

40K Novels

Glowstick_Rebel Blog

Ive been collecting and painting Warhammer 40,000 for about 3 years, its something to do when i want to relax and kick back with an awsome sound track, half a tonne of plastic and about 4 gallons of paint, you know how it is.
But recently, well more like a year ago, a good friend introduced me to the wonders of the writen 40K Universe. Since then Ive read 33 full lenght novels and 40 short stories from various authors including Sandy Mithcell, Dan Abnett and Gav Thorpe.
There have been stories from Penal Legions to the Eldar and Space Marines to the Tau, and everything inbetween. And i can tell you, reading a novel writen in the purspective of an Ork was definately an experience...

I have to say that my favouriate reading material has been on the Imperial Gaurd, Ive got most of this from Sandy Mitchell's novels on Commisar Ciaphas Cain and his amazing exploites around the Galaxy and from Dan Abnett's Gaunts Ghosts. These books give 2 very different acounts of life from Cains mix of high life and warfare and Gaunts constant hard and gruelling warfare. Yet both get into great detail about hteir characters and how they deal with decisions in everyday of their lives and the consiquences these prove to have. As an avid fan, i MUST recomend these series to anyone with even the slightest of interests in the 40K Universe.

To people who have never read a 40K novel, dont go jumping in at the deep end, these things can get a bit deep, and unprepared readers might find this a real shock. So because of this, I give you a few titles that give you a great platform to build on.
I suggest short stories, now some are much shorter than others so dont go page counting and decide somethings too long:
Rebel Winter - Steve Parker, about the Vostroyan Firstborn
Fifteen Hours - Mitchel Scanlon, cant remember the unit but it is DEEP man real deep
Death World - Steve Lyons, about the Catachan these guys are actually mental!
Let The Galaxt Burn - various authors, about many different units, dont be put off by the amount of pages, its full of short stories and is really good.

Thats just a small selections of some epic stuff, but if you want a series to ease you in, i would suggest the "The Tome of Fire Trilogy" by Nick Kyme about the Salamander Space Marines, it has an amazing plot but only book 1 and 2 have been published so far (this is early 2011 atm).
Then if you feel like you want to progress onto the epicness of longer stories, move on to novels such as the Ultramarine omnidus, The Last Chancers, The Space Wolf Omnibus, The Ciaphas Cain books and last but by no means least, the Guants Ghosts books.

Im just finishing book 2 in the Tome Of Fire Trilogy, Fire Drake and then shall move onto the Eisenhorn omnibus then the Ravenor omnibus. If you have any comments questions or any suggestions about books I should read, feel free to message me.

thanks
