Hi, I was the coder of the mod up to the last release (1730), I understand your complaints except one and that is the aiming. I can assure you if the mod was finished and you got to play without the other bugs you'd learn to use the aiming proposed, in fact most of the people that got to play the game for more than thirty minutes gave props about it and how bad it felt to return to your average fps with the locked-at-the-center aiming.

I apologize for the bugs that slipped along the new features which were sadly very critical. If I can offer an excuse I did my work on very bad conditions for coding with Source (Pentium III without graphics card :D).

As for the direction of the game, we were a group of people from all over the world, each had their own influences, schedules, and dedication of course. For coding I wanted fast gameplay (which doesn't mean dying quickly though)(Doom II was an influence on this regard) while keeping the main PD mechanics (there's invincibility after each hit for example, even if you don't notice) and was also influenced by realistic fps features which I mostly added with the idea of improving the game "look" and "feel" on the player's view (not so much as main game mechanics). There are many cool things I did but weren't released because they weren't completed on my part or the rest of the team.

You have to agree that making a copy of PD64 would have been work, and we were working for fun so each of us tried new things when working on the mod and have their own fun. There wasn't so much of PD:Z, we had a PD:Z thread and most of us if not all didn't have the game, I myself have never played it.

He means something Valve did prevents me from playing any Source game included the mod, so I am almost useless for coding.

Yes, removed. Insults will only reaffirm the decision.

It was dynamic and it wasn't that good, much easier to memorize the gun positions than having them appear always in different places from game to game.

Speed strafing has been removed, as in Timesplitters 2, you no longer get a bonus but your movement is not slower than it should. The strafe lag is a bug though, it has been fixed and awaiting next patch.

I liked 2 of the 3 Power Ranger games I played for SNES. Anything can be made a fun game, a fun game with Barney, one where you get to kill it =P or one dedicated to little childs like "Play and Learn with Barney!"

Depends on the genre, length of the game, if playing on an easier diff level blocks parts of the game (ie. an 80 hours rpg where you don't get to battle the final boss if you are on easy), etc.

I will usually go for Normal. Then if the game is good the hardest, but possible -for me-. I played Duke Nukem 64 on Damn I'm Good, but didn't in the PC version, I just found it to be too difficult.

Stuffie- I just don't find right the hard edges on the logo, but meh.
About the user bar, yes it's possible, just add a div to the html. And what do you mean by black user bar, it shows as dark purple on Firefox and IE6 here.
Screenshot, look at the user bar and the url color at the "members" tab.

Liked it, but if it stays it needs some changes, right now it looks so not finished, like the Moddb Logo and User bar, it has black text, the red alert and fuchsia urls on violet, not exactly readable.
I also agree it should say The PuffDatabase or something.

If you are going to add a template system release the "sdk" (example pages, images used and CSS) so members can create game layouts, they can post them in the forums and if they are accepted they get added.
