Here's a small update (added video) to my previous Desert Landscape blog.
This video is a short demonstration of foliage geometry instancing plugin in CovertEngine as well as terrain tessellation, linear space lighting, deferred shading and cascaded shadows.
I've been playing around with my engine for a bit, just having fun as oppose to developing. Thought I'd share a few screenshots. Been playing around with the instanced foliage painter using the deferred render pipeline instead of the forward rendering pipeline.
The terrain is a pseudo random fractal generated tessellated mesh. The scene uses height offset fog and a bloom filter with high exposure as well as cascaded shadows.
