After the unexpected results of chat users wanting to guess too, we researched ways to integrate this into the game. We were very fortunate to find an existing Twitch API integration for games and were able to implement and customize it for our needs. Now, Twitch chat can actively participate by submitting their own guesses in real-time. The integrated bot will seamlessly sort and incorporate these guesses directly into the game, announcing the item and container type, as well as revealing who came closest to the actual amount.

also added 5 new containers to keep things Goosey. Check out the Crock-pot, Wok, Sugar Canister, Coffee Canister, and Flour Canister.

We also had some skeptical geese, so we added an early stage prototype of "Prove It" mode. This feature will allow users to confirm how many items actually are in the container without just taking our word for it. Again, this advanced feature is in the early stages of development and will continue to be improved.

One unexpected aspect we found was, the chat in content creators streams, were lit up as they tried to guess along. We are currently researching ways to populate the chats guesses into the game. We have started to offer content creators giveaway keys for their chat and many are using them to give to the closest guesser or perfect guesses. Our biggest hurdle has been marketing. As a solo developer, you need to have knowledge in all areas of development and this would be our weak link. It is a delicate balancing act to focus time between marketing and game updates. We will continue to heavily research areas of marketing which we can improve. We are already soaking up the feedback and taking notice of players suggestions. The players never fail in their creative ideas!

As we prepared for the final 24 hours before releasing our playtest, we ran into some technical issues related to new installs. As part of our quality assurance, we started installing on a variety of machines only to find that all machines experienced crashing on the first load only. The team spent several hours troubleshooting the cause of the issue. As it turned out, changing the order of initialization fixed the issue. We are now happy to announce that the playtest has been launched and we are focused on fine tuning any issues that may arise during the playtest.
