Still can scarcely believe this creature was one of my best friends for the better part of four years. My mind still can't fully rationalise that both the Blue I talked to and the one in these screenshots are the same one, even though I know it is - like, it feels like he died and this monster replaced him. I hope you can bring him to justice.

Not a fan of the new lens design you came up with, but it's fine work. I like the way you spread around the imperfections around it, for one, and those are some sexy looking screws.

Looks nothing like Black Mesa to me. Black Mesa is so dark you can barely see in most situations, and it has tons of props everywhere that somehow pass for "detail" (especially pipes, take a shot every time you see a cluster of pipes in BM and you'll die before you reach Surface Tension).

I really fail to see how yellow-y lighting isn't fitting for HL. Back in the early 2000s there was still quite a wide use of those yellow bulbs, and Black Mesa (facility) was initially constructed in the Cold War (1950s, specifically). I'm not a fan of how that medkit is glowing, but I don't mind the lighting being yellow.

And there's also the large amount of yellow on the textures themselves in that area, wood, old concrete, dirty floors, yellow paint, danger stripes, yellow barrels... I don't think it's the lighting that's bugging ya. I don't hold it against you but I don't see a problem with it, especially considering how much effort has gone into the gameplay (see the demo video they have up).

So I installed this mod to make the experience of playing BF2 more like the modern entries in the series and I am not yet able to engage in playing it due to a shader error:

Thanks for the info, I also found that playing the mod on Xash3D FWGS fixes the issue completely, which is very nice.

Dy_Dorms has a Displacer Cannon and an easter egg to unlock Dy_Alien, and the map doesn't load.

There needs to be a way to play Dy_Alien without having to unlock it. It's an extra map. This is a mod. In fact, there needs to be a way to play any map without having to unlock it.

And a version of Dy_Dorms that is simply a port, without any **** on top. That way I can finally play it without the game getting stuck on Loading Resources and the debugger going crazy because someone thought it'd be a great idea to modify the map. Yeah thanks for that Displacer Cannon easter egg, really enjoying it right now.

Perhaps provide the VMF files?

I don't see the point of making this if you're not gonna change the design and aesthetic. I enjoy the idea, but the execution could be a little more inspired, like recycling HL1's textures instead of just using HL2's with a smaller resolution. With that said, I'm eager to see what the brush versions of HL2's props would look like, or the gameplay, or the flying AI, or the leeches.

Looks pretty dope, but the artic avengers didn't wear their vest over their clothing. They also had a hoodie. The ST-6 had dark skin and the GSG-9 had a feminine head structure and feminine eyebrows. The guerilla warfare was also pretty muscular, those seem like the wimpy CSGO pirate arms, pls fix. That GIGN also looks a bit weird, maybe you should make his chest slimmer.

But that's just me nitpicking. Great work so far!
