A coder living near berlin in a little city called "eberswalde". I finished my university bachelor degree in "landuse and nature conversation" but am full of love and passion for video and pc games. I have done a lot of computerwork for mods in various disciplines but actually become good at coding after quite a while. My favourite gameengine is unity3D and I really fell in love with C# and visual studio. I still have to learn a lot - but im quite fast in that. By the way: I am one of the people who will get a Occulus Rift and visiting my own VR worlds with all the rules I apply to them, muhahaha - this will be great!

The gritty zone had a reworked skadovsk, too. Jay had done the work an I was very impressed by his skills. If you like you could take a look to get the creative juices flowing :D. TGZ was released as Dropbox folder with all dev materials and scripts - though it was heavily unfinished by the time.

Ach, wie schön! Hab wirklich immer wieder mal an dich gedacht - komisch oder? Ich meine wir kennen uns kaum. Ich stoß mit ´nem Weißwein auf dich an, *tote leben länger*, oder wie war das nochmal?!

Hi Seta, have you recovered yet? The one liner upload of the gamedata folder seems a bit weird. Hope you are well.

So looking at your pics it looks like you have a kind of "look inside ship" view and an outside view of the ship.

looks ok so far - but this isn`t my kind of graphic style so don`t weight my comment on that to heavy.
The combat scene we glimpse here look like a quite dynamic type of combat. This is what makes me really looking forward for gameplay videos!
best wishes to the project!

One concept I had for aliVe II was to make those market events happen from time to time at different areas. So you would get a radio message where the next market will be. In addition you could ask bypassing stalkers if they know where the market will happen.

The market itself is kind of neutral ground and using weapons there is permitted. But bandits try to catch stalkers which are travelling to the market.
My concept of aliVe II was to have those markets as trade hubs with a lack of traders throughout the zone. This would fit to the timeline of aliVe II since it should play in the early days of the zone we know and love.

well you should improve the gameplay mechanics if you do so and not just use the optics. And to do so is really hard and a huge project.
I actually do not work at something stalkerish with unity, even though something like it could be created with it.

Modding Stalker takes a huge amount of time if you aren`t looking for ltx tweaking but creating content. Best take a break to stay sane :D

looks like a good starting point for me. The floor texture is a bit low quality, but the bike and character are doing a good job.

nice work with that part of the project and for me it was a wise decision to enhance the vegetation of LA since those models and textures are used widely among the whole project and are one of the big atmosphere drivers in stalker game worlds (again my opp.)

Take you time, dont rush anything or push yourself to hard- this will just lead to bad feelings at some side (work, mod, sociallife).

C#ing is fun. If you want to boost a gamedevelopment I would recommend Unity3D, it is a fastforward but yet powerful engine with good free capabilities. But it seems like you digging deeper then me :D

just for the record: You could use TGZ way of mutant looting, too. There you cant just open up a inventory or get items by clicking the "use"-key, BUT you have to slash and chop your way to the part at the mutants model with your knife! Was the most fun game feature i created so far!!!

TGZ is not in development anymore. Me as Coder and 3ncryptabl3 as artist are going somewhere else yet. Look at his profile for more infos to come.
all data from TGZ was given to the community. Every bit of content which was done is free to use. So the misery guys could use our content if they please to do so.
We wont come back to x-ray (stalkers engine). It was a good time!

in which way you want to implement that feature (script wise):
- "use" mutants to get meat (usual way)
- use regular knife and actually slash mutants to get meat (TGZ-way)
- special knife script (SGM,ARSmod) with GUI popup
- "inventory" in mutants to get meat
