Ok, for all those new people who don't know WW1 sources history, here it is. I experienced allot of it first hand. First of all the game was not empty, there were realisms at least once a week and almost every night there was a server with people on. Then it grew in popularity slightly because Potteh decided to make an update. The update Looked epic btw.

So I was very exited about this update for an update for maby 3 or 4 months. Then when Potteh was 96% done something happened. I'm not sure whether it was an insult flung at him or people being overall disrespectful (I'm not trying to take sides here btw I't all depends on how you look at it) He decided to stop the ww1 source mod update. For about 3 weeks give or take he seemed to do nothing, then he started to make a new mod. Pavot, this mod would include tanks, flame throwers, snipers, engineers, medics and much more. I was really really exited that there was still something happening. He worked on that for maby a month (I don't know exactly) lots of ww1 source clans were getting hyped up and exited, some left for Pavot. WW1 source looked almost dead.

Then Potteh cancelled Pavot, he said it was to do with past history and his reputation. Some people said good. For me I just wanted a ww1 mod really badly and all this time id been waiting for this exiting update it all looked like it was about to go down the loo, all that work thrown away. I was sad, id given up on there ever going to be any kind of update to ww1 source or a ww1 hl2 mod of any kind. Then i read these comments an today i found out that some of potteh's crew along with other devs had started an update ww1 source 2.0 update. PLEASE FINISH WHAT YOU START DEVS AND THANK YOU!

Its not a April fools joke, Potteh and the team have stopped developing ww1 source and have moved on to a new mod called Pavot which is also ww1 and it will have tanks and flame throwers XD

They've stopped developing ww1 source, but now the'v moved on to a game called Pavot which is French for poppy. It will have tanks, and flame-throwers. It is no April fools joke.
