Welcome to our first Devlog!

So it's time to explain what are we working on!

"DAWN : Day or Night" is a isometric 2D Turn based Tactics game, where you take control of a group of civilians in a city that became a war battlefield without a warning.

We want to create a game where the player is not a hero but a common person forced to survive in a hard situation, foor that "DAWN" merges the classic Tactics RPG elements and some survival game elements.

Why this choice?

This came from our love of classic Tactics games like Final Fantasy tactics, fire emblem games, Tactics ogre and so many more but at the same time we were inspired by games like This war of mine, papers please, Valiant Hearts that took a diferent aproach in the concept of war in videogames.

In DAWN your team will be composed by survivors that you will find during the game and can recruit (or not). You will have to deal with party limits and supplies that you may find during combat or through the story.

This also lead us into permadeath, we decided that permadeath is an important mechanic if we want to give a more crude feeling of what war may feel like. So your actions during combat or your decisions of units / items will become crucial if you want your team to survive.

In DAWN your party members are more than just nameless units and it's your job as a player to lead them to safety and to decide who can journey with you!

We just release our first prototype so free feel to test it.
