As long as you have SourceSDK Base you can play any Source engine mods.
I am unsure if SDK Base comes with HL2:DM though, so check if you have it

Kull Warriors have nothing to do with zat'arcs ;) And no, we won't have Kull Warriors, at least not in this next beta, might add them later though
multiplayer first, and singleplayer a bit later
Bloody hell, how did that happen
I am starting to wonder if my ultimate security system (that big "Secret stuff! Do not enter!" sign) isn't as secure as I always thought it was
Erm.. I apologieze for any misunderstanding or inconviniences regarding this incident.
The video is indeed not from our mod but from another Stargate mod and apparently one of MODDB staff members (lodle) made a mistake and for some reason only he knows uploaded the video to our profile..
I already removed the video, so that shouldn't cause any further misunderstandings.
Thanks everyone
hehe Yeah, character models (Tau'ri in particular) is another thing I am working on parallel to mapping. I'm getting close to finishing one so you all will see the model soon. Possibly even in next month news, although hard to say since due to end of year at university and upcoming exams I will have very little free time.
I'll do my best though :)
My guess is that you didn't install steam from the website, but simply installed HL2 from the DVD you bought? I might be wrong here, but that seems to be the only logical explanation to why you are missing several folders
Well, anyway, to fix this you need to download steam (from Steampowered.com) and reinstall it.
You should then get about 14 folders including "bin", "steam" and "SteamApps" as well as a lot of files, sub-folders etc. Then you should either login into steam with you account, or, if you dont have one yet, create it and register your HL2 in it (Since the location of this new steam folder might be different, you probably will have to reinstall HL2 again). If all goes well, then after installation your HL2 should be located in "<your_steam_directory>\SteamApps\<your_account>\half-life 2\" folder
When steam is installed and HL2 is activated and working, then there should be no more difficulties from that point forward.
Run steam, go to "Tools" tab and install Source SDK Base- Orange Box.
Then, in "<your_steam_directory>/SteamApps/SourceMods/stargatelegacy" folder install the mod
And then you play :)
Hope this helped, if ya have more questions just ask
Ok, I'd just like to sort it out once and for all.
Orel was an SGTC dev member, right? I hope you won't start arguing with that :P
By being the member of SGTC dev team all the content he made applied to the Disclaimer of SGTC found here Stargatetc.com
And now I would like you to read the last line of it- particualry "ou du leader du jeu Stargate TC."
We got permission from leaders, so we dont need permission from individual dev team members (like Orel) who made the content. Understand?
So I hope this will finally prove that we have permission to use that content and it will finally end your ongoing moaning... Anyway, we soon will replace all those models so you won't have to worry about it :P
Yes, there will be a singleplayer version of this mod :)
but we want to release a multiplayer first
Also, we have updated our website
In the newly added FAQ section you will find many answers to commonly asked questions, like the one about singleplayer
And there are some new screenshots in media section too ;)
So feel free to check it out :)
Thanx guys :)
Don't worry, almost all view models will be replaced in time (btw, if you happen to be a modeler, or know some good and available modeler, please contact us on our forum at www.stargatelegacy.com)
Might look into the sizes of the staff and P90. If bigger turns out to look better, we will change them :)
So once again, we highly appreciate all your support, comments and suggestions, because they help us improve this mod :)
Mappers-Alliance has contributed several maps (basically the SGTC ones) to us to get this mod released faster :)
If everything goes according to plan, we will be recruiting beta testers within the next month and a public beta will follow shortly ;)
