We've moved to supporting the mod on Steam Workshop only as management of files there is easier. Content Patch 3 is out now and the full current version of the mod can be downloaded here (subscribe to all files):

Hey, having to download them ingame is a known issue with all SS3 workshop content at the moment so there isn't much we can do about it (however, as far as I know, you can download them while playing if you don't like waiting). And yeah Steam downloads can be slow, it was significantly slower than just downloading the full mod externally for me too.
To delete the existing content, try unsubscribing from all the mod files first (either through Steam or in the Extras -> Workshop content menu in the moddable version), and if that doesn't work, go to steamapps/common/serious sam 3/temp/Workshop/*random numbers*/ folder, and try deleting the files in the "Subscribed" folder (the .gro filesizes for our mod are around 33mb, 66mb, and 95mb) - sadly with the random naming of things on Steam there's no way to know which is which, so hopefully you don't have a whole load of content installed already...
