You can try changing the "+Nir_Plugin_RenderCraft.dll" to "-Nir_Plugin_RenderCraft.dll" in Nirvana.ini to completely disable the engine.

Does that solve your problem?

I tried implementing shadows to buildings but the result wasn't satisfying at all :( I guess I'm not really good at graphical stuff so I will be releasing the source code of the enhanced graphic engine so that other people can give a try.

The mod is not compatible with Bnet, it can only played via lan.

Release 1.0 is the final English version of mod Nirvana. I won't be updating this mod anymore. For future versions please refer to uduuduuud's link below.

I will be releasing a Development Kit for anyone who is interested in adding more races. The kit will include a detailed tutorial on how to create & import a custom race to the mod.

ETA for the kit is one month!

1.I'm not sure about this, but I will investigate further.
2.Yes, it's intentional. Because Thrall and Cairne definitely won't join the Fel Orc.

4.Do you mean the unit sound-set?
5.Those heroes are already in warcraft3, just with different names.
6.Draenei would be cool, but the race lacks models.

Maybe your wc3 version is too low. The mod have troubles working on version below 1.21. Download the latest storm.dll may fix this problem. But I suggest you update your wc3 to 1.26.

You have to move all files to the root directory of your WC3.

Have you try to upgrade the mod to the latest version? Most of bugs are fixed in the latest version.

Thank you for leaving such valuable comment. The crash due to Arcane Ranger's spells has come to my attention. It will be fix during the new patch. As to the pure white mesh on Farseer's model? I still don't know what's causing it. The model seems perfectly normal to me. I might as well change the model back to default.

Yes, they are brilliant people who constantly produce great models and spells. But I was more focusing on developing new races while they were focusing on the rework of Naga.

There is no guarantee that this mod will work on any WC3 version under 1.21a.

Nah, it's fine. Traditional forward-rendering technique is too expensive when rendering shadows and lights. Anyways, I don't have access to meshes prior to the draw call, so forward rendering seems to be my only option.

Any computer manufactured within the last three years should be able to run on maximum frame rate. But the performance is related to the scene's complexity.

Hey, I just want to say thank you for telling me about this game! I looked into their game archives. Although I can't quiet figure out what the model format should be. But its sounds were invaluable.

I wrote a small tool that help to extract files from the game archive. I wonder if that could be useful for you?

Specular mapping in WC3 is embedded into the texture, so that's why it appears to be weak. I used auto-generated normal maps for meshes in this demo since I don't have the time to recreate such large amount of textures. But specular maps have to be hand drawn.

Theoretically, it should be compatible with any fx injector. But the the fx injector will only be able to render upon the final scene(UI is included).

Thanks for the heads up. I will get a comparison image next time. Anyways, the effect is still not satisfying as expected, mainly because I want to perform a normal map on the terrain's surface, but it just seems impossible since I have a hard time determining which polygon is the terrain.

For the arcane vault problem, I suggest you updating the mod to the newest version.
As for the lag, I don't know.. It might be some codes went wrong, I'm still working on a solution.

WC3 only have fixed directional lighting. And its rendering technique is pretty outdated and will not cooperate with new effects in most cases.

Yo, thanks for compliments. I'm not sure if adding forsaken will be a good idea, since it's hard to tell the differences between them and the undeads. But I will be happy to add any race if there's sufficient models around. Anyways, modeling was never my expertise. ;)

This error indicates your storm.dll is too old to work with the mod. Try updating your game version to higher then 1.22.

Well, I don't think navy is a good idea. But since naga is the only race that can swim, and in order to compensate that, I will come up something in the next patch. There will be a huge revision on the naga race also.

Well, There are always some memory leakage issues awaiting to be fixed. I was too busy dealing with new races and new abilities. Will try to fix that in the future.
