DeltaMagnum, Garry was already getting free money from G-mod, off the forums. To use a feature like "search" on the G-mod forums, you have to pay $15 to be a "gold" member, and do you know how many gold memebers there are???

Garry once posted on the forums that we should never have to pay for G-mod. Personally I think this is total crap, not only will it kill the community but making 9.04 a "demo" will make people think that it is no good which, is obviously not true. Sure, it give Garry something back next to our comments and ideas, but what will happen to facepunch (Garry's first project). When this happened to counter-strike it was good, but then the community went to hell, the creativity will leave G-mod and all that will be left of its former power and amazment will be some mingbags crashing servers and some people using it for a way to make custom bases for death matches. That was not what G-mod was created for or in the spirit of, if you look back to the version five through seven(or seven A) you will see many more amazing creation that those you see now, now all you see is lua scripting, but some of the great constructs that used to be so amazing and versitile are dying off as new people flood the forums. Now I will say that there are one or two dozen lua scripts (DiamondBlue), and that new people don't turn out new concepts, but it is slowly stopping as the good people move on. If this is already happening what do you think will happen once we have to pay for what we played, remember, "Love is priceless."

Why do I need a real life when I can get them by the dozens in games?
