No it is not, but thanks for the heads up, might have to read that myself now :) Thank you.

We are trying to steer well clear of any type of COD experience although naturally as an infantry based FPS we will draw some comparisons. I guess if anything you could say we will be taking the cinematic qualities of the game but combining them with more of a mil-sim experience.
Yes I have to appologise, we will change it, we are behind schedule but only because the aspirations of the mod have grown slightly from the original concept, this hasn't made a massive impact on development time but the extra wait will ensure that we achieve the extra ideas that we would like to include.
Thank you for your comment and support we appreciate it.
It is looking like we are going to have to push it back a touch. There is still quite a lot to get done. Since I stated the initial release we have added a LOT more to this mod in terms of what the player can expect from it and as such it will take a little longer. We are still releasing for CE2 though and as soon as is humanly possible.
Thanks very much guys. Release data is asap basically, we are still shooting for the end of March if its humanly possible.
@Drag0 LOL yeah, we haven't sorted the animations out for the C8 yet. also the arms are just temporary until we get the new arm rig done.
Its a possibility that the player will have the choice during weapon customization pre-mission, we are still experimenting with this option.
Thanks very much for your support guys, really appreciate it.
We are hoping to ship in March, the mod will come with one full mission, other missions will be added episodically. Thanks for your support!
Thanks man, code was written by our programmer Mr.Hankey and yes this works in conjunction with the penetration system, just depends what kind of surface and what angle the round strikes it. There is a video of the penetration system in one of our previous news updates :). Thanks for your comment.
the "curve" can be reduce quite easily however you do get some curvature on the horizon from 30,000 feet like this. As for view distance it is 4.5km (9km diameter) in-game which is right on the limit of what the engine will draw. Unfortunately attempting to get the same kind of viewdistance you would see at 30k feet is next to impossible i'm afraid.
It's just a normal optic but with 3.4x zoom.
This IS inside CryEngine2. Thanks guys.
I have already answered this on Crymod where you read this information initially but have reiterated it for you here.
We are trying to cut a happy medium between two well established FPS genres, on the one hand there is the more classic mil-sim style found in games such as ARMA2 or OFP and on the opposite side we have more cinematic games such as COD and MOH. We are trying to establish this mod in a niche between the two. We are taking the gun-play and tactical feel of a mil-sim and combining it with the more fast paced style of a cinematic shooter. As such the action level is going to have a much faster feel which won't really allow for the player to seek cover for medical attention or to bandage himself etc. Health may re-generate but please don't confuse that with the game-play being easy on the player, we are certainly NOT allowing the player to "tank" his way through the map like COD. All the regeneration will allow you is to take a round or two without dying and giving you the chance to get your head down. Stay out of cover when your hit for more than a split second and the game will be over on any difficulty setting. Thanks for your comment.
lol thanks man, don't worry we have a couple of nice optics to solve that.
Thanks mate, appreciate the kind comment.
Sam just look into Skydomes, I think the rest of it you can work out. :)
Yes your quite right, even with body armour etc. a spec-ops solider could certainly sprint further, it's really just down to the game-play and level design where we are forcibly trying to slow the player down into making more considered decisions and using cover wisely. It is also yet another element to try and separate this mod away from Crysis itself where sprinting in both speed mode and non-speed mode allowed the player to cover almost unlimited amounts of ground. Thanks for your comment, appreciate it.
Don't worry this mod WILL see release ;)
lol you are, it's a C8 not an M4 but for all intents and purposes yes, it's almost the same rifle :)
Thanks for the comment, the particles are just stock Crysis ones for the sake of demonstrating the system. We will definitely be going with something a WHOLE lot less slasher B-Movie for the final release lol :).
Hi iNich, I am really sorry to say that I lost the intervention model in a HD corruption about 8 months ago. Sorry I can't help out mate.
Hi Saxon yes we will. This was just taken with the default Scar while we get the C8SFW finished off and rigged.
The clouds are one feature but it is actually demonstrating something not normally possible with the standard method in CE2 which is having a skybox and maintaining the sun and HDR.
Hi UltimaRage, yes the mod was just added to ModDB 2 days ago. Our next news update will also feature here as well.
Many thanks for the kind feedback guys. We are working very hard to produce the best possible experience, in both gameplay and visuals, that we are capable of creating. Really appreciate the support and comments!
