I'm curious, how many factions can the game support? With the addition of this Empire of Shifting Sand, doesn't that bring the total number of sides up to 17? Also, if the engine can support that many different teams would it also be possible to increase the maximum number of players allowed per map (Example: a map that allows up to 10 or 12 players instead of 8)? BTW, I am loving what I see with this new faction! Keep up the great work!

can take as many as u want but ai is limited to 15 factions only ,and the number of players cant also be changed :/

If the ai can only support 15 factions does that mean 2 of the factions you won't be able to fight against a computer opponent. Because if my counting is correct you now have 17 factions planned: 1.USA 2.GLA 3.China 4.GDI 5.Nod 6.CABAL 7.Scrin 8.The Forgotten 9.Allies 10.Soviets 11.Yuri 12.Empire of the Rising Sun 13.Global Confederation 14.Rebel Forces 15.Theodores 16.Terrans 17.Empire of Shifting Sand. And it would be very agitating and disappointing if there were forces that I couldn't crush beneath my treads in skirmishes... Afterall, this is command & CONQUER. Though to be perfectly honest, I am awe struck at what has been accomplished thus far and I hope The Vortex will only continue to exceed my megalithic expectations!

exactly .terrans and egyptians wont have ai .any way due to complex coding i dont thinl the ai can even handel them tottaly

I'm just thinking, it sounds as if the Rebel Forces Faction would be too similar to the GLA and there still isn't any information that you've released regarding the Theodores as of yet correct? So, in my narrow way of thinking, wouldn't it be better to get rid of those 2 factions and keep the other 15. That way it would be possible to play as OR against every possible faction. Also, something I don't quite understand, the Rebel Forces, Theodores, Global Confederation, CABAL, The Forgotten, and Yuri are completely new factions based on C&C Generals Zero Hour capabilities so the ai for said factions would have to be created anew, or a least revamped, so why if you can code those new factions can you not fully code the Terrans and Egyptians? I'm not trying to be difficult, but these are honest questions that have risen in my mind so please forgive me for the constant questions and grilling. I just think fighting as AND against the Egyptians/Terrans would be achieving a very high level of fun and re-playability.

theoders are more or less a reborn of nod and have a major roll in the story ,i can replace the ai of the rebels with the egyptians which most likely will happen ,how ever terrans if they are going to have ai some of its main features like unpacking the buildings and units wont be used by ai and it will act like any other faction :/ ,the engine has its limits that is something i cant change unless ea gave their scripts which not gonna happen and i dont have the ability to do so ,if u can then welcome to the team :) !!!

Unfortunately, I do not have their scripts :( and I don't have any real technical skills to offer (I'm a Storyboard developer, not a computer/videogame programmer/designer etc.), but if I get my hands on 'em you'll be the first person to know! :) Also, I think that would be a good idea to vice versa the rebels ai with the egyptians because this egypt faction looks awesome! P.S. I see that you mentioned a "story". This leads me to a few new questions: I assume that this means there will be a campaign mode? If so, what factions will have it. It be amazing, time consuming but amazing, if you were able to make campaigns for all of the factions. Another quick question which I'm pretty sure I know what your answer will be: For the campaigns you already have in mind, if any, what storyline are they going to follow? P.S.S If you need a story theorizer, currently I have some spare time...

their is already a campaign and story ,which as a written one will try to link the universes in a non-cannon way but in a reasonable manner ,the camping will follow the story starting after tiberium era ,in short it will reveal how GDI evolved to become the new world organisation "GC" to maintain peace over the globe ,with the break down of Nod after the ascension of kane and his disappearance from the picture ,with the formation of rebel forces from the remains of nod and forgotten against their oppression by GC due to their crime/mutation history ,and reactivation of cabal network to create chaos until kane returns as an avatar revealing the universe deepest secrets and the rise of the theodors "half alien/half human" controlled by kane to take over the world ,and the rise of the egyptians by that time restoring order in Africa and their alliance with GC to stop the new kane , while playing kane secrets will be reveald how can he survives certain death 3 times and his long life in a way different than cnc4 concept
simply the campaign will have the 4 new factions only ,and that will not come sooner ,we wont take care about it until most of factions are done and released !! i wont reveal any more about the story for the time being :P
