Sushi, i was wondering if you were going to add post processing effects like DOF, Sun godrays (for partly obscured bigger light sources) or motion blur to the game (from the sun it looks like youve got HDR or bloom in already). Nice work btw, didnt think the freelancer engine would ever be this revamped
Is there an update to this by any chance? Or a revision of V1 which adds some fixes. i really like this but i miss the navy and airsupport lol

ive been watching this for sometime and both the content and the upgrades your team have made to the freelancer engine are outstanding, i may have missed a post on it but have you decided on what your doing for docking? ie is it going to be a similar cinematic to freelancer of landing in a hangar and then a few rooms(bar and trade room ect)? or something more?
Hey been playing your 'modmod' for a while now, its good! relatively bug free, with the few known issues(lack of aircraft, ships and Tesla effects)
But i was wondering how i could add more maps to this? ive tried putting some Firestorm/vanilla Tiberian sun maps into the mod's dir and they didnt show up in the skirmish map list? What map types does this support(.mpr doesn't work), and where would i install then to?
could you make a video of a load of infantry running at a few of those AA it'd be epic.
I like the crystal as is. But if they find the time, i guess there could be an obelisk upgrade that "swaps" the crystal for a sharper cut one that gives like 10% more damage or w/e

you need something epic(if you have a epic idea already ignore this), i was thinking about the sound at the end of the startreck "reboot" film, where they dump their engine or w/e into a black hole and it makes a big blue explosion and an epic noise to go with it... bit nerdy, i know.
This already looks like a AAA game. Outstanding work guys, out of interest, will you be adding support for Iron sights or red dot sights instead of hip-firing all the time?
you just got the system hack upgrade, it means your units no longer follow the game's rules ie they can become 50ft high kungfu hackers if they want
want a good recording program? Use Xfire, its free and it comes with a load of other features too, it records in RAW format, perfect for video editing software ie After effects, you can get a free 30 day trial of it off adobe's website and if you still like it and don't wanna pay the huge sum, get a crack for it.
will this roughly follow crysis 2's requitements or are you using larger textures ect and more importantly what's the gameplay gonna be like? battlefront(ie flags to capture and vehicles)? or COD(mostly infantry shoot outs)?

SilentMirage; your worried about the recoil of using a pair of Standard combustion based Cannons? You could always use a railgun which, based on what ive read have no significant recoil(the theory is the recoil is exerted sideways on to the rails). My evidence? US navy have tested rail guns on platforms with thin mounts and on wheeled carts.

Also the resultant force of using a Railgun to the same scale as the cannon on that walker(10-15 meters?) will produce a much higher impact force. Railguns would be preferable to Coil guns(Gauss cannons) as they have a smaller limiting factor of heat and power than Gauss weapons which have massive heat and power limitations(the coils will create more heat as they will have a higher electrical resistance than the two rails do).
And if your wondering what the difference between the two is, Rail guns use 2 oppositely charged Rails to create a magnetic force and accelerate a slug, whilst Gauss cannons use a charged coil(electro-magnets) to accelerate magnetic slugs down-barrel.
Of course you only need to take this stuff into account if your actually going for realism here.
What will you be doing in therms of the interface? Will you recreate the unit/building pictures(i.e. infantry, light tanks ect..) or use the RA1 low-res ones?

This may have been said earlier and i may have missed it, but will the sides have Off map powers aside from super weapons, i.e. spy planes. And will there be support buildings to capture like the hospital(i know it was a feature in RA2)?
