Here we have a typical remastered photo of a West German BGS (border police guard) member dressed in Sumpftarn camouflage which accompanied the Splinter camouflage uniform. The photo obviously dates back in the late Fifties, he has the typical Wehrmacht-style mag pouches and carries the G1 which was a licensed-built copy of the Belgian FN FAL battle rifle. The FAL was often called "the right arm of the Free World" in references in its role as the Western AK.
In these times, the BGS was the only major BRD military formation equipped with camo equipment.

Thx Reborm;X :), but BGS was not the only Form. with camouniform ,Bundeswehr used a Camounif. too in 50-60s based on wehrmacht Splinter camo
