Falkenhayn succeeded Moltke as Chief of the General Staff of the German Army after the Battle of the Marne on 14 September 1914. Confronted with the failure of the Schlieffen Plan, he attempted to outflank the British and French in the "Race to the Sea", a series of engagements throughout northern France and Belgium in which each side tried to turn the other's flank until they reached the coastline. The British and French eventually stopped the Germans at the First Battle of Ypres (October–November 1914). Falkenhayn staged a massive battle of attrition, as claimed in his post-war memoires, at Verdun in early 1916. Although more than a quarter of a million soldiers eventually died – for which Falkenhayn was sometimes called "the Blood-Miller of Verdun" – neither side's resolve was lessened. After the failure at Verdun, coupled with several reverses in the east and incessant lobbying by Hindenburg and Ludendorff, Falkenhayn was replaced as Chief of Staff by Hindenburg.[Source: Wikipedia]

It will be released but to things in real life it has been a while. Progress is happening however and 2.0 will be coming.

I certainly would. However I would like to get 2.0 up and running first prior to adding anything to the workshop. In regards to the instructions I would need more information to assist for I have no issues with downloading mods off the site to get them running and therefore do not know where there may be confusion.

Yes there will be a 2.0 in the future. Things have simply been very slow. Due to real life things but work does progress. I will try and get more screenshots out as I work on it and plan on releasing a page update soon on the current direction.

It would probably depend given this mod is a restoration of Battlefront 3 in the Battlefront 2 engine. They are not adding new features to my understanding just restoring what they can from the lost game in the series. So if there was no RC in BF3 there will not be in this.

The mod works for me currently using the steam version. I recommend you install the mod to a desktop folder with the launcher and then simply drag and drop the Data folder that will be there to your games directory and it works fine.

It was a great game. Shame they never ported it to Steam it was only 1 of 3 RTS games to me that had a cheesy enough story to be really fun (the other 2 were Universe at War Earth Assault and the base campaign of Age of Empires 3). There were also the games with very serious stories that were fun in a thrilling way as well.

Why not divide Europe into 3 Groups. Western, Central and Eastern European. The West consists of the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. Central Europe could be Italy, Germany/Prussians, The Habsburgs, Danish and Swedish. Eastern Europe could then consist of Russia, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland and the Ottomans. The only oddball would be The Maltese. They would technically be in Central Europe but are composed from nationalities around thanks to The Knights of Saint John.

Edit: Alternatively you could divide it by Northern and Southern for more consistency in regards to architecture.

Reminds me of the Rise of Nations Rise of Legends city expansion and layout system for the factions of that game. Don't know if that is your inspiration or not for this but very cool nonetheless.

Hey Nephalim. I like the way the Moblins are looking! A lot of my friends are looking forward to them (they seem to be very popular in my friend circle). I wanted to inform you when playing online if we play with an ai it seems to over time generate errors and then cause a crash on occasion. Playing with other people does not create this and was wondering if you could look into it before next release.

On a hopeful suggestion note: Is there an chance for the Mothula to be a faction maybe in combination with the Magtails from Windwaker? I always found arthropods fascinating and love the Gohma faction. It would be cool to have another arthropod faction that also operated in a hive like structure but different than the Gohma. For example the Mothula instead of needing creep just needed to make nests which could be specialized but not with buildplots and instead specialize with upgrades that could be called evolution's (these could change the appearance of the nest structure and each could still operate independently from one another). I just think they would be a nice addition to the Windwaker Expansion since they are the evolved Gohma after all (and most of the other base factions have their continuations playable in the Windwaker Expansion). Keep up the good work! You have created one of the best mods I think I have ever played.

Hello. I was wondering if you would mind if I potentially made an addon featuring playable Tula and Tekkites (depends on how much time I have). For heroes the Tekkites would have the Magma Gohma from Wind Waker and Moldarach (the scorpion Gohma from Skyward Sword). The Tula would have a Brood Mother and the cursed guy from Majora's Mask. Tekkites would have no base and be a horde (they would be like rogue Gohma). While the Tula would have something similar but more limited than the Gohma base and specialized and slowing and poisoning enemies. Keep up the good work on this awesome mod.

That is a shame. For the Ants could have easily gone by the ranks they have in real life for units. Minors, Majors and Super Majors for ground combat units, Males for air combat and obviously workers. Eggs could be made on the side as a resource generator rather than gathering. If they were red ants due to their ability to use toxins in the real world could poison their enemies or merely spit acid. Heck if you wanted an alliance of different species suggested above then things could really get crazy given the diversity of ant species with their varied looks and methods of defense.

This is probably one of the best Halo mods I have ever seen. I do have one question though. Will the United Rebel Front and Heretics be added as rebellion factions for the two sides? The URF has a lot to work with to differentiate them from the UNSC. In lore they have asteroid bases (could be starbases), makeshift fleets (modified civilian ships that could have unique abilities such as self destruct to prevent capture), if I am not mistaken some degree of stealth and space mine technology (for defensive structures in gravity wells). Also Post-Human Covenant war they begin to use old and abandoned covenant weaponry as well (could be a late tier research option outfitting stolen UNSC and retrofitted civilian ships with Covenant weapons). Heck their titan could be a covenant ship repaired with UNSC parts making a frankenstein ship (though it could also be something akin to a spacehulk from 40k as well). I know the mod has militias but the lore keeps them as the more united entity rather than rogue militias which it also discusses. As for the covenant heretics I have no idea how to go about making them unique. Though more prominently featured in the games I know less about them in terms of lore and capability. Keep up the good work!

Hello. I just wanted to say I think your mod is very fun and I appreciate the support of the non-steam part of the community. I was curious since I couldn't find any mentions of it on the page but is there any plans to add the Beast? It is the only major faction/race not present and would make a nice addition (not saying to rush them out or anything I have worked on mods myself and understand things take time). Keep up the good work!

Hello. Sorry for the lack of updates. Work and school for the both of us has been soaking up a lot of time. Work is still progressing on the mod although it has been a bit slow. I am working on a new faction I am rather proud of that is rarely done. I won't say what it is now but I hope it is appreciated. As for the general progress of 2.0 the Galaxy is currently being re-organized to fit canon positions as well as some other tweaks and additions Mogenar is making. I won't reveal any of it because I figure he would want to do that himself.

It progresses but slowly. To give an idea the vehicles in both space and land are done. The GC is also being modified a bit but that is planned to be more of an experiment/surprise. Also I got a little sidetracked and did a little work for each of the 3 other factions (nothing too major just some tests/concepts). Also as always I don't give release dates only because things can come up and change. In Kamninos case this is the third or fourth incarnation of the faction (do not worry the fact it is in this updated announcement means outside of maybe 1 unit or 2 added later it is basically set in stone)

Well when the news post is done it will reveal 6/7 heroes. The Last one I might run a bit of a competition with to see if anybody can guess him (hints will be given of course). He is pretty obscure though so I am not sure if anybody will know him. To be honest the expanded heroes is what has been delaying release at this point because the expanded lore has fleshed things out a bit more than originally anticipated. Once the Kaminoans are completed I also intend to have a couple more surprises as well.

Thank you for your suggestion. I did at one point consider adding a Starkiller clone considering two are alive at the end of Force Unleashed 2 or even a potential X3. However I decided to go in a bit of a different direction so to speak. This has resulted in their lore being changed a little bit as well as boosting Kamino's Hero roster from two to around seven. What inspired me to go this mystery route was basically an obscure EU character I came across. Stay tuned I intend on making a new news post about it.

Hopefully the Kaminoan Insurrection demo for the IG-88 Rising addon will be done by the end of the semester.I haven't given an exact timetable because some things have been refined and altered etc. I will look into posting a couple more screenshots in the next week or so (since it has been awhile).

The starviper model was intentional. It was used because it is currently the best model available for an airborne basilisk. The frequently used basilisk model was tested in earlier versions but unfortunately looked very awkward flying. We are still looking for an alternative however but a replacement if it does happen would likely be for version 2.0 of PvM.

Thank you for your interest. The faction is nearing completion and the added features like the new maps are also getting close as well. The allotted time honestly depends on how long it takes to get the Clone Commando code fixed (it is currently a mess) and obtaining the audio needed for the corvette (the audio for everything else is pretty much done). This is all also dependent on college work as well but I am going to do my best to try and get this out before finals this semester.

Hey sandtrooper956. I am thinking about posting a screenshot some time in the next week because it has been taking awhile. Real life stuff has slowed it down but there is steady progress. I kind of revamped the Kaminoan roster a bit swapping out some stuff (which is why it is taking longer in conjunction with school). Mogenar and I also discuss a lot of design decisions behind the scenes regarding the mod when things aren't being posted. So there is a progression of ideas as well even if the mod posting is slow.

Are you using the disc or Steam version? Also were you using 1.0 or 1.0 with the 1.01 patch? If it is the Steam version make sure the mod installed correctly to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\s­tar wars empire at war\corruption\Mods. Also make sure the launch path is correct as well: swfoc MODPATH=Mods\ "MOD NAME". Lastly if there are any other issues related please post them (so we can help solve them).

I also forgot to mention there is unique 1600 models for plantations, farms and ports as well in the Jamestown tutorial.
