That is why I also put it in the comments. The new file does not have this issue. Since I usually work with the dev mode which has a different name for me. so make sure you have this in your enablemods text:

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 2
enabledModName "Borg Addon"
enabledModName "STA3-CTA"

When you have both STA3-CTA and the Borg Addon folders in the Mods-Rebellion v1.82 folder, check the EnabledMods.txt it should say:

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 2
enabledModName "Borg Addon"
enabledModName "STA3-CTA"

If you want to go back to STA3-CTA it is:

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 1
enabledModName "STA3-CTA"

And if you want to go back to stock sins it is:

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 0

Basically extract the files and put it in your Mods-Rebellion v1.82 folder. Make sure the enable mod text has these lines.

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 2
enabledModName "Borg Addon"
enabledModName "STA3-CTA"

And if you want back to stock STA 3 CTA you want to have this in your enable mod text.

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 1
enabledModName "STA3-CTA"

_Draconis_ - - 107 comments @ Armada 3 - State of the Mod - Feb 2015 - Patch 1.2?

This is my bad, the mitigation does indeed also apply to hull through the armor. However the Cardassians still only have 1 target per bank. And they don't have the same choice ship wise due to the split faction. This is just the way we balanced it and it works fine for our gameplay.

If you want to nerf the Galor in your own game and make the Cardassian Unionists weak, feel free to do that. It would require you to buff the other ships alot throwing out early gameplay balance. We tried several other ways, including having the Galor at other cruiser Hull/Shield levels. This is what worked best for us, to make them into a tanky faction. And you would be surprised how much speed matters in a game.

While it probably isn't perfect, it works fine. We will probably put more effort into balance in Axanar from the start.

That is if you only take shields into consideration. You also have hull which doesn't take mitigation into account. And Klingons rely more on their hull than shields. So when the shields are down it is just 10%.

_Draconis_ - - 107 comments @ Armada 3 - State of the Mod - Feb 2015 - Patch 1.2?

Galors are more for the sake of gameplay, since the Cardies are the exact opposite of the dominion. Where as Dominion is damage the Cardassians are all about absorbing damage. Also the Galor only has one target per bank.

The Kvek doesn't take 30% more damage, it gets a 10% lower mitigation for shields and 10% more damage. If you have a bulk of Kveks all doing 10% more damage in the initial attack run, you do serious amounts of damage. Don't forget this ability lasts only 20 seconds and has a cooldown of 120 seconds. So it is for that initial burst of damage.

We went through several testing phases as Bane explained, we have test environments without any outside interference. We also had a lot of testers to take in points of balance concern. Overall the races are pretty close together strength wise, but they all play a bit different. And this in balance is hard to balance out perfectly.

You enable the mod through a text file called EnabledMods.txt. You do not activate the mod from ingame, it will always end up badly. Once you place the EnabledMods.txt in the Mods-Rebellion v.1.82 folder it should start up the mod.

Yes, I made sure the AI uses anti module ships also now. So they know how to take out your structures. Otherwise the AI gets stuck on massive defences.

It also had to do with the AI getting stuck on it research wise. Because it is hardcoded what it must research.

We eventually still want to bring out these manuals. There has been some stuff going on, so we put the manuals on the backburner while focusing on the v1.1 patch.

The Blade of Kahless only works when you are allied with another Klingon faction. And Spartan architecture indeed only decreases the cost of strategic fortifications as intended.

This was done due to the AI getting stuck on this particular piece of research. So this was changed. Eventually we might change it to something else in the future.

Some AI can be a bit wonky sometimes, most of these issues are fixed however in the hotfix. What I noticed in my observations is that the AI sometimes got stuck with our new planetary system research. Other than that, the research AI focuses more on research instead of other things. They get better later game.

Diamonds, tactical spheres, trapezoids, and basically all small ships like corvettes, frigates and cruisers. So yeah assimilators and adapters would do better against a fleet like that. I would also suggest to throw some pyramids and spheres in there. If you do have a cube or two, I suggest putting them in the back of your fleet.

The bigger Borg ships are very susceptible to long range artillery ships like the New Orleans. So if you are fighting a player which is smart enough to use these in his fleet, I suggest building other smaller support ships instead of only cubes.

Do you use a 64 bit operating system? It is mostly related to the amount of memory you have/your system can use. That is why we make use of LAA. If you run a 32 bit operating system you run into the issues you just mentioned.

This is mostly just a string issue, it does not display the correct text. It never was meant to have the corbomite reflector ability. This however should be fixed in the new hotfix.

This issue is fixed in the hotfix, it has to do with the Cardassian turrets conflicting with some of the abilities on some fed/borg ship. I suggest when you play Cardassian right now to not research the turret abilities.

I suggest turning off debris if you want a performance boost also. And cargo ship icons. Just play around with some of the settings. You could probably turn back on some other stuff.

It means the one you placed a bounty on is under attack and that attacking faction is collecting the bounty you placed on them. Not only pirates can collect the bounty.

1) sounds like a good suggestion, I'll contact some of the other devs and see if we can implement that. If we cannot find it one of the other devs will probably contact you.

2) We have one of our guys working on that, but not all of it got implemented yet. It should hopefully all be in the next hotfix.

Thanks for the suggestions post.

If you went through the dev Diaries, this was explained. Basically we made the human borg balanced for online play against other people. While keeping the fun aspect of taking on an AI borg with some friends or multiple AI allies. Also the human played borg are anything but weak, they play differently, but they are quite powerful endgame.

This is addressed in the hotfix, the current AI gets stuck on some research. Even if it updates the table, this research will be ontop and it will not research the other stuff under that research. This is more noticable in CTA than it was in 1.0 since we changed alot of things. I never looked at the AI much since I joined the team around when 1.0 was released.

Turn rate concerns turning the ship, accelerate doesn't alter the speed it just makes it to top speed faster. United houses only applies when you are allied with another Klingon.
