Description

Fan Zhuxian (1882-1938), formerly known as Fan Jinbiao, was a native of Guantao County, Shandong Province, China, and an anti-Japanese general of the National Revolutionary Army.

In 1904, he joined the army and joined the Fourth Town of the Beiyang Army.

In 1926, he joined the command of Feng Yuxiang and changed his name to "Zhuxian".

In 1933, Fan Zhuxian was appointed as the county magistrate of Yishui County by the National Government.

In 1937, with the support of the Communist Party of China, Fan Zhuxian refused Han Fukju's order to withdraw to the south and established the "Northwestern Shandong Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Command" in Liaocheng, which dealt with the Japanese army north of the Yellow River for a long time.

In November 1938, the Japanese army launched an attack on Liaocheng. Fan Zhuxian was outnumbered and committed suicide after the city was defeated.

After Fan Zhuxian died for his country, the National Government of the Republic of China lowered flags at half-mast for three days to express condolences and posthumously awarded him the rank of Army Lieutenant General.
