I have little experience with Ren'Py but I have used it on and off and decided I wasn't into visual novels as much as I thought I was. I'm a Linux user (Arch 64) and I'll give feedback on the game. :)

Thankyou! You should really have the links up clearly somewhere or have the latest .deb package in the download section. Normally I would use the deb packages and install it with dpkg but I'm sure i'll play this game a lot so I added the repos. Just a note some of the information on the page regarding the source list is incorrect. It could do with a review.

Thanks for the quick response, well if we get future releases including the final release for free once we buy this beta then I might just decide to buy this. I might buy it towards the end of the week. Cheers for the info!

Can we have the linux alpha please?

I'm not prepared to pay £16 for a beta without the option of being upgraded for free when the release is actually out. Especially as a Linux user I suppose there would be a much better chance of finding bugs as being one of the very few linux beta testers. Other than that rather annoying process, the game from what I see and read looks rather amazing.

Tracking the game nonetheless, I will probably buy it when it is fully released on Linux and not the beta.

I wouldn't suggest archiving it inside a rar. The problem is that you have your game but not enough space to package it, right? Make the directory with all the content and instructions and so on into a torrent file as this will take up very little space, upload to tpb and iso huntcand be sure to seed it yourself. I'll see if i can get a seedbox for you.

Can't wait to play the game btw

Hows the progress so far? We're really looking forward to it. I've just ordered some amazing headphones, the AKG K550. I will be getting scared shitless in the dark on this with these on.

Take as long as you need, we were just concerned the project may have been dropped. The second this comes out i'm going round a pal's to play this game in HD with 5.1 surround sound system speakers + bass. Can't wait ;)

I have submitted the review with the rating, I understand why you might want to leave this project and start anew and I encourage you to continue with the horror genre as you obviously have the talent for it. Also in my opinion if you don't wish to make money with it I think you should atleast send it over steam greenlight for free. Although I'm sure there is a £70 one time fee when you first get into greenlight and all further material and projects released in the greenlight require no fee. Something to think about, it might not be worth it until you have another project lined up that you feel confident making profit with.

Best of luck, I can't wait to play some of your future projects!

I'm a big fan of the ghost hunt maps on Garry's Mod I used to play them with a friend until it was no longer scary and they were by far the scariest. You're birthday is on the 27th March, mine is the 24th March. Happy late birthday, can't wait for the release.

Have you tried lowering the texture quality in the main menu display options?

No spoilers.

I just played this from start to finish and although it's short, it took me a while to get through. I think it took me about an hour and a half because I was scaring my *** off when I progressed into a specific part of the game. There are a few scares, the sound effects are just so brilliant and the visual graphics are just amazing. Timing also was just perfect. The only bad thing I could say about this game was that there was no option to adjust the mouse settings as I needed to reduce the sensitivity. On Linux build, it's automatically just way too high and it's not really bearable which is another reason it took me so long to complete but it was well worth it. I cannot believe this is a free game, I think you should go over to Steam's greenlight and sell the game for pocket money, it's a guarantee that you'll make profit especially since you've created a Linux build as we barely have any decent games, yet you've created a fantastic horror/thriller.

I'd give this a 8/10, I would give 10 out of 10 without a doubt had the game been just an hour or two longer and if the options were more advanced and finally if there was a save/load function. Someone else here stated when loading the game they fall out of the map, yet I can't see a save or load option in the menu just Continue and Exit. Perhaps you removed them for the Linux build or maybe they're hotkeys that are not defined on the screen.

Please do continue to make more horror games, and don't stop building for Linux either.

I cannot wait for the release of this game, you should consider going with steam greenlight once it's out.
