please say which version of minecraft this works on(mods that add new mobs, items and/or blocks need to be updated for new versions of minecraft even if they use forge)

i bought the half-life complete pack(Half-Life 2 and it's episodes were on a 2 day long 75% discount, making the pack cost 9.99$ rather than 39.99$ for the duration of the discount), the HL1 and HL complete packs involve TFC/TF1.5, plus it seems that you can't get the free version anymore

press `/~ and it will show up, you can also change the button for it in your keyboard options, i recommend using the default because that way you'll be able to open it up when you're in the main menu, in source you need to allow it in the advanced keyboard options(options/settings>keyboard>advanced, there will also be a "fast weapon switch" option which means that whenever you switch weapons it will instantly equip the next/previous weapon instead of showing the "defensive weapon selection system"

there's still a non-steam free version called: NGHL(new gauge half-life client), however it's made for speedrunners, so there are things that you might want to disable such as a speedometer(the command to disable it is "hud_speedo 0", 0 means false)

you need to load a save/start a new game for sv_cheats to take effect, however it is fixed in source, infact in source it's the opposite: the game sets sv_cheats to 0 whenever you start a new game, it sets it to 1 if you start a developer commentary game though

G-Mod is a steam mod, sourcemods and goldsrc mods can't be paid but steam mods can be paid but still require you to
have a paid game using the engine they use(sometimes a specific game)

i'm the guy who asked "d10sfan" to ask you about updating for steampipe, the fix is just changing the gameinfo file for most mods, i had asked him for an edited gameinfo for this mod, and he gave me one here:http://pastebin.com/k0EdUxL2
however he only has linux and couldn't test it, and i got an engine error while the menu was loading, the error was:
