Well, this is an amazing mod, been playing it for years, love the gameplay. Hell, it was even featured in a Computer Gaming magazine a few years back. But, since they haven't spoken to the public since last year... I think it's fair to say it's dead. Oh well, great game guys, if you amaze us with an official version that would be great, but there really isn't any money in mods, and in it's current state it still makes a great showpiece for talent, if not exactly for public-relations.

I'm sorry, did I hear you right? You didn't want to tell us what the hell was going on BECAUSE you were afraid of negative reactions?

Hell I wouldn't have said anything if, on the release date, you guys put up an update saying that you were sorry, but the game has been delayed and won't be released for a few weeks. I'd be sad for sure that the new version didn't come out, but I wouldn't blame you. Obviously if there is a gamebreaking bug you won't launch a new version.

It's the whole hiding-it-and-pretending-we-won't-notice thing that bothered me. I mean NOBODY knew what was going on, was the last update out of nowhere a JOKE? Look at some of the comments.
"They didn't do it!"
"The next day nothing!"

People really didn't know what to think.

Anyways, i'm glad you guys are on track, and I look forward to playing the new release soon.

I think it is more than likely that they havn't finished the new version, but that is no excuse for the lack of updates. It's like they don't even care.

How is that too critical? I think you will find a hell of a lot of people feeling exactly as I do. Well maybe a few less since April 9th.

Wow i'm so disappointed in this mod. I played it when it came out, until there were no more servers. I played with Dryden. It was rad. But this is just ridiculous how much they don't seem to care that nobody is playing their mod. They SAID they'd release a new version on the 9th, that was yesterday. No new version. Who knows, maybe eventually there will be servers and a new version, but I hate to break it to you guys, NOBODY will be there.

Oh and btw, if you want to keep people in the "know", get a real website. Some random wiki doesn't help anyone, we want something that we can see UPDATES on, and messages. Forums arn't the same.

Just recently I have realized that I play and mod much better with music going. I have a pretty big variety of music so no matter what kind of game I am playing I have SOMETHING to go along with it. My favorite thing is games that have a music player built in, so you don't have to listen to ingame music if you have your own, and you still get sound effects perfectly.

Wow this is awsome! I am so amazed to see how far stargate reaches.. It is filmed in BC right near my house (most of the time) and the creator of the show (Brad Wright)'s daughter goes to my school!

well what I did was create a shortcut and now when I run it I run as administrator. It DOES work, but only on the normal maps, and then only some of them. I have gotten cinema, town, and policestation to work.

man... this sucks I cant play this on Vista. It says error: Missing maps/ and then whatever map I am trying to play... Hope they fix this in a patch or something.

funnily enough this is the first poll I have ever voted on. I just noticed the polls by some freak accident, and I didn't know what they were. I read through those questions on the right side and then saw this one. So I can safely say never. Except this once.

Lol I love this game, it gets so good once you learn to play :D Its so fun being hidden after you have practiced for a good 5 hours :D Picking IRIS off one by one.

hmm.. I will download this new version but hopefully someone is actually ON it. The other versions have all been dead online, and thats the only way to play.

I personally am glad theres a consol page, especially for the ps3, we are going to see a lot of mods for it. Yeah, thats right, mods. According to the developers of Unreal Tournament 3, the ps3 version lets you play mods. You download them online, on the ps3 (you obviously need online connection) and you play them. Making thems a bit harder, you have to do that on the pc then save it onto the ps3 via a disk. Still, it shows promise.

Ohh, and my only real complaint is that enter never presses the buttons. Let me rephrase, when you sign in you type your user name and password, then I click enter. I just get that little beep sound. I have to manually click the button. Same thing happens whenever I am searching anything.

I know, small complaint but its all I could really think of.

meh.. this is the last time I will be on this site, it made perfect sense before and its where I went for all my mod updates, but now the mods arn't organized at all and everythings all thrown around. I'll stick with google.

hmm.. any new features this version? I love the game but I think it could use some more zombie maps :D I didnt like the headcrab ones and loved the zombie one.. but theres just the one.

Well you obviously bought day of defeat: source. That is an overall better game, this is the first one, its a mod for half life 1. Once valve saw how sucessful it was they made a hl2 based one, but it costs money. Just like tf2.
