Good job with the trailer, it's got an amazing mood to it :) Can't wait to play it!

Just have a little patience. I said there are reasons it's being delayed because of getting it onto steam. The mod itself is 100% and I believe him, just look at the screenshots. I've also seen videos of it running, I believe him when he says it's 100% done.

Do you really think he's going to spend so many years (5-7 years?) making it to just not do anything with it?

It's going to come out in one way or another. Just have patience.

You can see how amazing the level design looks just from the screenshots. There could even be a chance this guy might even get attention from other game developers, it looks good enough to me! To just not release it wouldn't make sense, there's more benefit to release it than to just not bother after all the hard work.

And this guy is busy, he's most likely got a day job too as well as all other things life throws at you, all while trying to get this released. Do you think it helps pestering him with all this negativity? Even on steam too. If you were trying to make a mod at this level of quality and you had loads of people contacting you all the time like this would you spend all your time replying or actually keep working on the project and get it released?
Bare in mind English isn't his first language either, I think he has a translator.

Like I said, have patience and try and be positive. It's essentially one guy who has made all this, we've all seen games made by teams that don't look anywhere near this good.

I got a reply from the creator. I'm waiting for a second reply, so I'm not sure if I can say any details. But I've been assured the mod is 100% complete, it is basically just some last minute things that need sorting out in regards of getting it onto steam.

I've no idea how long this will take, but hopefully not too long.

I doubt it will be that long, everything is finished and he just released the title cards in the final works article not long ago.
From my understanding the other release dates and delays from a few years back was because he wanted to update the graphics and really polish things up. It is his project so it's fair enough if he feels he wants to make it the best he can, and in the long run it's better for us to get a polished game.

But this time around he says everything is finished and it's in the process of going through Steam/Valve, it sure looks finished from the screenshots and everything. If I was to guess it's because Valve need certain requirements and there is some last minute changes or additions needed. I don't know about this stuff but it seems the most likely reason, what other reason could there be? He doesn't have any benefit of just not releasing it.

I feel I should note that I've done some of the music towards this game, but I've had no other involvement in the development at all. So I'm not sure exactly whats going on unfortunately.

There's been a bit of a language barrier, but I will try and get in touch and see if I can find out what's happening. Otherwise we'll have to wait for him to explain things and hope for a relase sooner than later!
