It's been too long my friend! I hope you are well.

I think it was released that EA won't be printing any more copies of this game so there was a run on it. It's $100 and up for a new copy with manual etc any more.
My question is does anyone know a good private server to play the game online? The EA server for it has shut down.

I have quit this game... BigPoint the company that runs it are a bunch of bastards and totally messed me up after I rubbed them the wrong way. I will continue to create new accounts to trash talk them until they are deleted but I will never again play this game seriously. Sorry to anyone that I was playing with but you will be able to find me here periodically.

My synopsis of Liberal vs. Conservative financial policy:
You have a credit card debt of $14,000, accrue further debt at an average of $500 per month and only have $3,000 per year in your budget after other bills to pay on the card. What do you do?
Liberal: Take out a home equity loan at an interest rate higher than the card to pay off the card debt and then increase spending in other areas to accommodate for the hardships of having to take on a second job to increase the household income including more creature comforts purchased on the card itself.
Conservative: Put a freeze on the card to ensure no more debt is accumulated, cut spending in other areas (especially non-essentials like cable TV, out to dinner budget, etc), bringing the average to pay on the card up to $4,000 and pay off the debt in 3.5 years.
Simplified? Yes, but you will find that it is historically quite accurate ;)

Ok, one thing you have to understand is that the US President is a figurehead with the powers of Veto and influence. If you want to understand why the US is in the current financial chaos that it is you need to look at the actions and makeup of the Congress at any given point in time. During Clinton's first term we saw the near collapse of the economic boom that Reagan had ushered in. Clinton's Presidency would look much like Obama or Carter's with the exception that in 1994 the people saw the disaster of Clinton's policies and elected a Conservative House and Senate essentially nullifying Clinton's power. The conservative Congress stayed in effect throughout trying times including the attacks on 9/11 and kept us strong. In 2007 the media succeeded in getting a majority Liberal Democrat Congress elected at which time our economy took a nose dive. Being halfway through W. Bush's second term this financial debacle resulted in further media demonization of Bush and along with it's playing up of Obama as a rock star, genius, superhero and God, got him elected in '08 which gave him an unchecked use of power and the result is what you see. Fortunately the people were awake enough to see what was happening and they split the Congress in the last mid terms which in all likelihood saved us from a Depression. I have every confidence that in November of 2012 we will see a Conservative President take over the White House, and it will not be a minute too soon.

Lol! Yeah for sure man, and that's a lot of why I dropped out too... I have been spending more time monitoring the Jedi and Sith pages than gaming the last 6 months. Time to put it away and get back to some RTS. :P

My apologies for those things I have left undone and those individuals I have left untrained. Know that I will always be a Sith and should I return, will most definitely fight at your side. Lastly, I am giving up my seat on the Council and I nominate Darth ChaChing for my replacement as Grand Inquisitor on the Council. My apologies to all but I am dropping out of the RP thing for the time being. My reasons are many including the fact that I am starting online classes (while working of course, lol), I intend to actually spend more time gaming which was why I came to this site in the first place and last but not least... I am simply no longer having fun with it. I'm sure I'll be back at it one day but in the meantime I'll be here just much less often, so keep in touch my friends.

I would ask that before the Jedi perpetrate any more attacks on the Empire that we finish writing up the rules of engagement for our RP... before I have Pizza Kitchens and Jedi Master Ten clones running all over wiping out everything we worked so hard to take.

As Lord Delta has stepped down I am taking temporary control of the Empire until the next Dark Lord reveals himself.
I have mitigated the damages to our page and intend to determine where we stand in light of recent events. I have upgraded us to highest security status throughout the Empire and am having all units and surviving soldiers in the Kessel system terminated immediately. Failure will not be tolerated and the entire system will suffer for their failure.

The question of Intellect is difficult to determine, thus the IQ testing procedure. Intelligence defined is "an aptitude for grasping truths or the ability to make sound determination". It is often mistaken for knowledge itself but the 2 are independent of each other.

I just read through the last couple pages and my synopsis of events is:
"Ori'Verda attacks the Empire with 3 Pizza Kitchens and 15 robot planet Sizzle Fries. The EMpire has now been completely destroyed by Ori'Verda, Pizza and Giant robot Mandalorian transformers that turn into nuclear weapons that have clones of themselves that can make more clones of themselves instantaneously and destroy everything that was not yet destroyed, remake it and destroy it again all without suffering a scratch." Sound about accurate?
OK, I think I might have to follow suit with Darth Ten. I feel like my efforts to train Johnyboy in the art of RP'ing properly while the rest of this nonsense is going on is like holding an umbrella over my head while the boat I'm on is sinking. Anyone down to play some Dark Orbit? :D
