how long is the mod ? Can you talk to Spine and add it to Spine ?

Ok ... I found one thing : instaled another fresh copy of gothic 2 .... entered Gothic 2 and it worked fine ... Went to spine applied to patch from Spine after setting the Gothic 2 directory ... exist Spine and tried the Gothic 2 original game again and boom we have an error : no dialogs in the game while you play and on top of that an error regarding "can't create D3DX content "

My question is : is Spine suppose to **** up original Gothic 2 game or it should still work fine after you apply the patch ?

ok Bonne .... there is a big problem ... acces violation error . I will tell you all the steps I folowed and you tell me if that's enough :
1.)Clean instal of gothic 2 gold GOG
2.)Instaled Spine ... set the path directory for gothic 2 and another path for Spine mods since Spine told me it cant be the same gothic 2 folder. Instaled Spine in a different folder then Gothic 2 folder too. Don't know if this is corect or not.
3.)Went to database and searched for Systempack... found 2 versions : Systempack and Systempack 1.6 . I instaled first Systempack then Systempack 1.6 . Don't know if that is correct or not .
4.)Last step downloaded Xere's return ... then went to library and clicked start modification ... The VDFS stupid check showed and checked the game before entering ... that VDFS **** usually disapeared when we instaled the Gothic 2 mod starter as far as I remember ... do we need to make VDFS check dissapear or it doesnt matter ?
5.)Finally game enters ... I go to new game ... it shows me a fast 2 seconds load on the loading bar ... exists to desktop and shows acces violation error ... everytime. The end.

since aparently it takes forever to download the mod ... it has been more than 3 hours and I reached 92 % .. I wanted to ask : is the mod structured on chapters ? Does the game advance after you join a primary guild and this way allows free exploration with the posibility of joining when we want ?

did you enable mouse from settings and disable gothic 1 controls ?

from the description this sounds soooo good ... 100 hours to 200 hours of playtrough ? WOW ... it's like bigger than gothic 3 ... I assume 200 hours if we do every quest possible for one main guild and all quests for all the side guilds ... if that is possible .

Also is it translated into normal english or google translate english /

so gothic 2 wasn't dark enough ? :O

the most important question : does it have english subtitles ?

the clip is great and the voice acting is totally realistic ... that's what happens when you get professional actors .... the aditional work put into this mod will pay off big time when you release this mod.

yeah I don't know about D4rkw0lf ... he is gone aparently .... he was the first guy who tought me how to make translation with gothic dialogue getter instead of the regular program ... great guy ... I am not doing translations of mods that expand gothic 1 or 2 ... I only do translations to mods that add completely new stuff(stand alone mods) like this mod or past mods like dark saga and others .

does the sword mourn bringer has any real benefit now ? When I fight with it it leeches down my OWN HEALTH until you die .... and it has lower dmg than my one handed sword (the sword from Cord with 100 dmg) - mourn bringer has 110 dmg but it deals significantly lower dmg when you fight with it ... I have no training in one hand or two hand cause i don't want too ... so overall there are only negative aspects to this sword ... and it requires 100 STR ... it's ridiculous ... does it have any hidden use or I can just sold it ?

I can do a proper translation for every line of dialogue ... sent me the mod file when everything is completed .... I have translated a very huge mode before .... like Dialogues.txt had 55k lines of dialogue ... took me around 3 months but I eventually finished it.

great news everybody ... for people who still have crashes when they pick up items (like I used to have) .... I found the solution : go to Gothic 2 folder / system and enter Gothic.ini .... we will modify Gothic.ini again.

Find these values and change them like this :
zTexCacheOutTimeMSec=960000
zTexCacheSizeMaxBytes=512000000
zSndCacheOutTimeMSec=40000
zSndCacheSizeMaxBytes=80000000

This dramatically increase the virtual memory gothic alocates and boom no more crashes for me ... I played for over 2 hours .... picked a lot of items / killed a lot of **** / completed quests ... no more crashes. Hope it works for you too guys.

do dexterity matter in pickpocketing ? Also it says that you got caught pickpocketing but nothing really happens.... is picklocking still scrambled or it's back to normal?

again ... you did not gave me a concrete example how exactly do you know that you would die without a helmet .... you just made some points that are logical but I also bring out the logic that you can fight better in my opinion when you have lightweight armor and no helm if you prefer fast fighting rogue style ... fast and agile ... an armor or a helmet slow you down dramatically ... I might be right I might be not ... without concrete examples we will never know.

lol you got so emotional .... how exactly would you know that without helm you die with a probability of 99 % chance ? you red a book about it ? Saw it in a movie ? You didn't live in medieval age either ... so how exactly would you know that ?

I still don't get why you are so obssesed with helmets .... you are the only dude who is so into helmets from what i've seen .... for me I don't really give a **** about them ... I am neutral ... but if I was to fight in that era I wouldn't wear a helmet ... the argument for protection is : " I can see better without the helmet " ... helmet obstructs vision ... so does any mask ... if we were to be completely real .... so yeah think about that.

you still working on this project ?

it's so amazing how much true fans can do with a game that they truly love ... to think that this all started from Piranha Bytes who are now clueless to making a briliant game like gothic 2 ever game ... I hope they manage to do something with ELEX but the expectations aren't so high ...

english version dialogue writers and quests ? or you are looking for german language only ?

I volunter for the english voice acting .... would love to do that.
