My ham fisted attempt at making a channel trailer. I mixed 2 pieces of music, dark ambient with a piano mixed over it. I hoped to capture the idea that in Stalker there is both beauty and dark danger. I used some screenshots of an emission in Yantar and joined them together as a video.
It definitely looks interesting, but I think it would be better to show some video instead of some screenshots. Just showing the zone with bandits, duty and freedom fight some monster attacking a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or something like that. I know that would take more time, but it would be much more interesting than some screenshot footage.
Those are some good points and I will definitely be bearing them in mind when I attempt another video.
I thought of an emission on this when I heard the dark ambient track and I originally uploaded the video without the piano. It worked but...I also wanted to capture the idea of how beautiful the game can look and that lead to the piano track being added over it.
I wanted to keep the video at under one minute and also capture an emission, that is when I took a series of screenshots of an emission at Yantar. I played it back in full colour but the message was getting lost, and at that point I resorted to making it black and white and adding some distortion, it looked sort of edgy and I went with it.
I will re-visit this idea again, I enjoyed working to a tight time schedule in which to get a message across.

For me S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is mostly about the atmosphere, but I think it could have a color if it is done properly. However, that's much easier to say that than actually make because of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gameplay variety. I think it would be best to make the time schedule like you said because that would make it much better than those screenshots. Also, you should pick some MoozE music or something from OGSE team (don't forget to ask for permission if you do) to make the time-lapse better.

Thanks, I am fairly happy with it for a first effort. Once I have visited all the locations in Call of Chernobyl I am planning on something more ambitious.
