You don't need it. I tried it out on steam and it works fine.

You have to replace (copy and paste) everything in the "text" folder of the mod's main data folder (mod/data/text), then select "replace all" when asked to. Open the .txt files in the "text" folder to check if you did it right.

Then delete the bin files such as menu_englishtxtstrings which aren't in english. In order to open them and check you need notepad++.

Did this page get hacked? I though there was a mod download before.

Is this update save game compatible?

I'd suggest the Gutians, Mitanni or the Vinca (I can provide the civ bonuses or tech tree)
Also which tools do you use to mod aoe 1?

When I try to launch the game I get an error saying "file chatfilter. san cannot be read"

When I start a campaign game I get the error "PI_diplomat. CAS file does not exist" Any way to fix this?

An excellent mod and my favorite RTW mod. I'm also working on some custom battle maps for this picked from the campaign map.
