Hm, did you try to upgrade from 0.4.x? If so, try installing 0.5 freshly. Alternatively i can say that the 0.5 installation without Desura definitely works for many people, i don't know wether we have many Desura users at all. If in doubt, try our forums for support.

It's not worth it because of two things: a) The player base would be split because Wars and Crysis players can't play with each other and b) would mean building & supporting two different versions regarding code and other content.

Yes, it's a Crysis Wars Mod - all you need is Crysis Wars.

One thing to keep in mind is to first log in to normal Crysis Wars and try to connect to a PunkBuster enabled server there.

I usually see at least 1 populated server when playing, although it probably depends on the time zone. US & european evenings or weekends usually mean more players - check out the status page for some numbers: Mechlivinglegends.net

Ok, the Desura package should be checked then. Was that a new install of 0.5 or an upgrade from 0.4.9? Can you try the official installer on mwlldownload.com for now? Sorry for the invonvenience.

Is that still an issue for you? If so, maybe the desura package is not correct? You could try using the installer on mwlldownload.com instead.

You should not remove the .net 4 framework, both .net and .net 3 can be installed at the same time. Just install the 3.5 sp1 framework.

Is that using desura or the MWLL installer?

Crysis Wars is not free, but you should be able to get it for about $10. It comes bundled with Crysis Warhead, for which it is the multiplayer part.

It works with steam, i and several others i know are playing it with Steam version of Crysis Wars / Crysis. If you have problems try getting help over at our forums.

Are you playing on plain Crysis? Most players and servers have switched to Crysis Wars already (which comes with Crysis Warhead) and there are nearly no players left on plain Crysis. Also MWLL 0.5 will only support Crysis Wars.
