Hey, thanks for your feedback! I've seen this come up a few times, and I don't know if I quite agree with the thinking along these lines because it is very conventional. Survival games are about emergent gameplay. They are not a race to consume gated content like your standard MMO. Therefore, there is not supposed to be a "late game" or "end game."
In any case, you wouldn't see brick houses or machines in Diverted because our design philosophy is centered on what we call "fun realism." In a nutshell, this means everything in the game will have to be believable within the setting, all crafting recipes will have to be fairly realistic, and all mechanics and the simulation will be similar to the real world but tweaked slightly for fun.
