What is this based on? Doesn't this alpha/beta thing usually refer to individuals who (try to) dominate the group and others who don't care about it? Because if so, I've certainly come across many immature alpha-type people.
Even if it costs less than a dollar? That's actually rather generous :p
Maybe it's a very talkative walrus
They said I could be anything...
Somehow I find this actually pretty cool
The thought of the creature using Facebook and actually calling himself World's Largest Spider amuses me greatly for some reason
Seems like they have empirical evidence to back it up
The phone makes it difficult to see his wrist so I doubt it's that either.
I bet it is the knuckles.
Yep, they tend to be overprotective of their engines so you have to distract them with money
It indeed is 4, and I love how it looks shorter than the edge that is supposed to be 3 :D
Kinda looks like the cashier couldn't believe his eyes at first. I also like how the tiger is just casually strolling into the store like it is something it does daily :D
Mum is right: in reality Lawrence's brother has thicker torso, smaller head and longer legs than in his drawing :p
Self-built PC with Windows 7. Great price/performance ratio. I can do everything I ever want with it too, including graphics and audio so I can't think of a reason why I should really have a Mac :p
I have to mention though that my girlfriend has some kind of Macbook she bought 3 years ago and it still seems to run about as well as it did back then. I can't say the same about the Windows 7 laptop I bought around that time. That thing is incredibly slow these days, even though I've been regularly cleaning the registry and defragmenting disks, the kind of stuff that kept my Windows XP machine fast for some 5 years. Then again, my laptop is one of those cheapish ones with tons of OEM crap.
Hungry, huh? How about Germny, Itly or Cnd?
Wow at yourself, too :P That must be the most horrible group membership application I've seen. First you say you don't like the way we do things and then you suddenly want to be part of us. Desperate to get something to do, huh? :D Plus if you take things so seriously you get offended by such a harmless post I doubt you have a "clue whats fun" either.
I suppose you are looking for free software? :) I don't know of any free DAWs (apart from those on Linux) but you could try trackers. In my experience MadTracker 2 www.madtracker.org is the best free one out there.
Interesting. Good luck with those levels :)
Softsynths? I haven't gotten much into those yet but I reckon Texture would be good for ambient stuff (www.kvraudio.com/get/1002.html). Kore Player has some killer sounds too, but I'm not sure if it exactly can be called a synth. It seems to use a lot of CPU power too. If you however want to give it a try, it can be downloaded here www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=koreplayer :)
Yeah, that happens from time to time :/
If you ever feel like Audacity isn't enough, you could try Kristal (http://www.kreatives.org/kristal/). It feels more like the professional programs out there but is free for non-commercial use. It's been a few years since I've used it but I recall it being pretty good.
In my experience Audacity is rather versatile for recording single sounds but it's just horrible for making music (multitracking etc). And I don't even want to think how it would be like to use it for mixing :)
Thanks, that was helpful :) I guess I'll just keep trying then.
T-RackS you say? It is surely good but I'll be using free plugins (some great stuff there, too!) for now as I'm going to get better equipment for recording first :)
Yet another quick question :p
How did you guys learn to mix and master? My problem is, the more I try or read stuff about it the more scared I become. It seems so complicated :/

Escapist, music enthusiast, wannabe 3d environment artist and social retard. I've been a big fan of video games since I was a small kid. My favorite genres are FPS, RPG and the occasional racing game, although there are many exceptions. In general I love any game that has a strong atmosphere or I find otherwise immersive.
