thanks for the praise!

about the UI polish: sure just give us some ideas what should be done...(in game or in the main menu?)

about the steering issue, please give us some feedback in the forum thread for the issue so we can decide what needs to be changed to make everyone happy:

great, i really like it! ;)

btw the point of "coremode" is that you can aim better at enemies (if you have a weapon => strong slow-motion) or take full advantage of the nitro (if you have nitro => weak slow-motion). scoring a "corebreach" with the zeus plasma cannon (or hitting enemies with the rockets) is much easier in core-mode with the slow-motion.

p.s. sorry for the late reply, i replied to the wrong person and only noticed now

thanks for the encouragement and the feedback!

we've made the music notification smaller for the soon-to-be-released version 1.1.5.

thanks! it should support all gamepads/wheels that "SDL" supports. just select the gamepad in the popup in the controls preferences. if the gamepad works in other SDL-based games (supertuxkart? ;) but not in CoreBreach, contact me at <corebreach@corecode.at> and i will try to get it resolved.

hey there...thanks very much for the feedback we can't fix what we don't know ;-)

> far too much of the same thing

yes the track included in the demo has some boring parts. however each track in the full version has a unique and diverse style and most of them are visually higher-quality than the demo track.

>The audio displayer is too big and in the way of racing when it pops up

thats surprising - the music notification is only visible for 3 seconds every few minutes and mostly transparent anyway. if thats the most prominent problem with the game thats actually nice to hear ;-)
i've included this on the ToDo List....thinking about it the notification could also be near the screen-top to be less intrusive.

>it just needs more polishing

true, and we are willing to put more effort into it if there is demand. would be great if everyone who has wishes for improvements, e.g. with the ship steering to post in the forum so we can come up with future directions.

i confirmed that the final version as released here on desura doesn't have any "libart" dependencies anymore and so should run out-of-box on xfce/kde/unity installations.

i'll just assume you are talking about the previous beta-test release...

if it lags there is either a problem with the GPU or the driver - it runs a steady 60 fps even on very old hardware. if you have a feel its laggy on NVIDIA on Linux, try turning off VSYNC.

>you can use nvidia-optimus with bumblebee

you can't, there is an incompatibility because of a bug in one of the components in bumblebee.

it should "work" on most recent intel GPUs, but there are some ugly visual artifacts on at least some of them. it would be great to get a confirmation here which ones work and which ones work without artifacts.

thanks!

the mac os x introductory price is 6.99$ (a bargain ;) and we plan to launch win/linux with the same price.
