Rigor mortis has already set in and flies are beginning to lay their eggs in the decaying husk of code that is this project. It's beginning to smell awfully ripe.

But really, it's tough making work you feel comfortable with while all the while learning how to do everything. Once we have something we're actually proud to show people, we will.

I completely agree with you as to the optimization problems, particularly with the body insets. I wasn't completely positive i could get the same effect from a normal map with those though, particularly in the area where the inset breaks the silhouette of the bottom of the body. If I can pull of a decent bake (this is practically my second big model and second bake) the normal map should serve to smooth out those rough edges on it.

Actually, this is the low poly mesh. We should have a baked texture within the week.

It's actually more of a mess of an M110 and an SR-25, without any real attention to detail or accuracy on either count.
