Yeah they are really op, but breaking after one hit is way to weak, so I chose to go for unbreakable for fun and variety. Personally I think they should have a hit count like somewhere between 15 or 25 depending on quality. after you reach the required hit count whether they are blocked or not, the lances will then break, but never anytime before that. Or just add in the option to turn lance breaking on or off depending on preference.

Thanks for the help I got unbreakable lances now, I also increased the reach on the heavy spears and turned them into one-handed lances that can use shields as well.

Can you do a lance charge with it? Or will it only be able to left click stab?

you cant couch with heavy spears for that real strong lance charge, only the regular left mouse stab, which defeats the purpose of using a lance/spear on horseback.

You cant couch (The lance charge animation) with them for that super strong hit like lances or light spears though or use shields, and the reach and swing speed are not exactly stellar as well.

But you cant lance with with them though, which is only viable reason to use one on horseback. And no shield. Sadly the only viable horseback melee weapons are one-handed swords with good reach, I find the heavy spears too short, unwieldy, and the loss of shield to be too much of a negative to make up for the slight damage increase. If heavy spears could be couched and used with shields then maybe that would be different.

Speaking of old features brought back, I would love to see lances like they were in 1.3. The lances in newer versions are useless and historically incorrect. They break like glass instead of lasting the whole battle.

Lances were not one one and done weapons, they were meant to last ENTIRE battles not just one kill. there is a difference in tourney lances and actual war lances. One is meant for continued use in battle and the other is basically a kendo stick meant for tournaments and the like. The tourney lance is blunt and not meant to kill and even they did not break on the first hit often. They only do that in movies because all those splinters flying everywhere looks cool. Please dont post what you see in movies as historical fact, it does nobody any good.

Can the author or someone else please put in the option to turn off lance breaking like in ad 1257? It is inexcusable how bad lances are in this mod, they almost always break in one hit. Yeah thats one hit that is a kill sometimes but when you have 100 more to go thats not good enough. The only way as of now to play as an effective cavalry troop is to play horse archer. in real life the lance was the bread and butter of most medieval troops and they could not do that if they broke on the first hit. Lances did not start to disappear until guns were commonplace. They did not stop using lances because they snapped balsa wood when sneezed upon. That was never an issue.

laser does not work for me, it fires and subtracts from the ammo count but there is no visual beam and it does not make contact with anything.
