the cube will have uses similar to that of the weighted cubes in Portal as well as other additional uses. :3

You misunderstood what I was saying. We have absolutely no plans to charge for Puzzlr and for the time being, it will remain free. The part about sales and the like was just showing the rights that the MIT license grants to the general public. And as I said, I'd really prefer if nobody sold it even though the license grants those rights. The new puzzles in Puzzlr will definitely be more challenging and will be a bit similar to those in Portal in essence.
Is there such a thing as a round maze? Anyway, I'll work on more round maps I guess.
Interesting fact, the Source icon was made with elite skills from a resize of the 16x16 source icon.
Yeah, I meant that HL2DM is a minimum requirement. It's that simple.
Lmao, thanks. For the record, these have been done for quite some time. I made them weeks ago but never got around to releasing them. And I certainly hope you think the latest update has nice maps and was a nice update. Some new models may be included in the next release as well.
Could you provide a screenshot or something? This hasn't been happening in Private Testing.
you think so? I'll post some screenies with the new lighting.
swings like a wrench and is a crowbar replacement :3
With ninja abilities? Even though this really isn't hl2... just a mod based on it.
the existing maps... shouldn't that be obvious?
The maps that seem too simple were probably mine. All the sandbox ones are supposed to be simple for multiplayer purposes. As for not beautiful, we're experimenting with different looks, nothing is final yet.
Well... thanks for the constructive criticism in the least. At least you were smart enough to say what's wrong with it, not just that it's bad. Anyway, if you read the tutorial for the Beta it'll explain the game modes, though more will be added. As for the puzzles, it goes on a gradient from easy to difficult. We've been playing around with new methods for future puzzles and they certainly will get harder. This game is multiplayer though, so please take that into account. Sandbox and Score won't be fun if you're playing by yourself.
haha, good to know. We *should* have all the lighting done for the current maps by Friday, but it is a priority. We just wanted to get the structure of the maps down before we started lighting.
sandbox is more of a multiplayer game mode. More things to do will be implemented in later sandbox maps. Also, Beta2 release on Friday. As for pzl_game_01, the map shouldn't have been included, the new release will have it though.
lights will be later, we're worried more about structure right now, but don't worry, we'll have some nice lighting by the end.
I'm working on the Beta2 build as we speak. Expect another release soon.
Thanks so much man. You'll be in the credits in Beta2. And I promise I'll get to running a server for Beta2, that way everyone can play at once. For future record, I've got 5 mb/s upload, so even in Sweden you shouldn't lag much. :D
I can actually change it without config files in the engine, that way we don't have to deal with unloaded config files and what not.
* I'll see if I can reproduce this one...
* Definitely your system, sorry. It hasn't happened in any of the private tests at all.
* A fix for this will be implemented in the next build.
* That's the temporary loading screen and game menu image, it'll change soon.
And yes, at the end of that level you go down into the elevator and the level changes to the next one in the series. It wasn't implemented in that version but it should be ready in the next build.
Server side-settings, you can change those but the defaults are there to make it seem more dramatic :3
pzl_game_01 was included on accident, it crashes for you guys because it's not done. Also, noclip isn't disabled, it's bugged. I'm not sure why, but I'm looking into it.
This is a Beta, we're not worried about lighting quite yet.
The Beta and Tutorial have been posted and are awaiting authorization.
Please read the Tutorial before you play the Beta as it talks about the game. Also note that the map "pzl_game_01" is currently not working, it will be included later in the game though, possibly under a different name. We'll post something about the Beta server(s) later.
Hey, I saw your models from your images. You're a really good modeler, would you be willing to assist my mod (Puzzlr, you commented on it's page if you forgot) by making a Gravity Gun model for us? It'd be much appreciated and your name would go in the credits, but it's fine if you don't want to help.
The download will most likely be available tomorrow or on Friday, I'll send everyone a message with a download link and the IP of the one (possibly two) Beta dedicated servers. Aside from the servers, you can just make a listen server and play by yourself.

I code... a lot. I'm fluent in C++, C, Python, and PHP. I know bits and pieces of C# and HTML as well. I'm working on improving my knowledge of C# by creating an XNA indie game for XBL. I also enjoy gaming and I'll probably get to learning ActionScript.
