Here at Cheese47, we create addictive and free games for you to download! This includes games like Neon Space, which is a game consisting of a lost neon space ship and a load of enemies! There's also Minigun Zombies and MyCraft, a zombie shooter and a 2D Minecraft! I use the Game Maker engine which is great.

I totally agree! GML is very useful for making advanced games and as you progress you almost leave d&d behind.

I made the game in Game Maker 8.1 which makes it harder to use external internet servers to use an update server. However I am attempting to find a .dll which enables this feature!

Larger terrain and dirt blocks below the grass blocks when the world is generated. Only a minor update but Alpha 0.2.1 is out soon!

Convenient that you asked! The new update, Alpha 0.2, is waiting for approval now (14/9/12) so it should be live and available to use soon. All versions are backwards compatible, so worlds created in the older versions of MyCraft 3D will work perfectly too.

No. Minecraft was made and programmed in Java. MyCraft was made in Game Maker which is primarily a 2D game engine, but can be used for 3D if your prepared to work hard to make a game.

The direction that this game is heading in is to include some sort of storyline. To everyone who believes this is simply a copy of Minecraft, this game has many different features. You may have heard of a game called Infiniminer. This came before Minecraft and is where Notch got his inspiration. It even inclues the whole idea of mining using tools. But Notch built on it... he added many features and game modes and made Minecraft into what it is now.

Just a quick point, due to the way that the video was processed when being made, the game appears stretched, vertically. That's because it is!

MyCraft can run pretty well on even 1.6Ghz Intel Atom single core processors and requires barely any RAM at all, as I happen to have a spare 10 year old notebook with that exact spec above, should the main PC break down. The game runs at 25+ fps on this and will regularly reach the max of 30 fps.

What makes this better is that you can alter the radius of your actions, allowing you to create craters and huge block domes! There's also the ability to load maps from the internet or anywhere in less than 10 seconds. And finally, I believe Minecraft costs in excess of $15 when bought legally... where as if this game is approved onto various market sites, this will cost less than $2. Minecraft also lags on even 2Ghz+ processors, where as MyCraft it's very processor friendly and RAM friendly. Hope this helps you see what I'm getting at with MyCraft 3D!
