Oh, an exemple of a place that can be easy defended is the city of Thenn, in the AWOIAF Mod. But there's other mods with similar towns / forts - you can ask them.

Wanna ask you, with the new update I lost the wather sound on a ship travel.
How can I fix it?

Also the possibility (if you are a tribe, without a faction) to conquer a village (without having to conquer the castle), and be able to manage the vilage like we manage the city or a fort in the default game (with advisers), and with the possibilite to garnished it with soldiers and set some slaves, to increase the earnings.

It would be great if you could fix the design of the villages, and allow the construction of small palisades around them (with a little level to place archers), to defend them. Or improve the hidout building (with a great palisade), to allow to be protected against a large group of invaders, with just a few soldiers. As well as the possibility of leaving soldiers, and slaves (to generate income)

Also, if you could fix the design of the forts,
decrease the numerous access points of invasion, in order to facilitate the defense with the minimum of soldiers possible. So, invading would be more difficult, and defending would be easier (like in real life). Plus, if could increase the loote, it would justify to raide more forts and cities, and the lost soldiers on the process (the gain must be greater than the losses - to justify the endeavour). Also, change te siege engine, take kill your soldiers for nothing.

Also, executable lords, but with no loss of moral/relations with other factions and lords (that had no previous good relation/aliance with the executed lord realm). And if you could also add wife, and the possibility of having children, who could quickly join our raiding party.

Also, We, the Wife, the childrens and the companions could also be killed in a figth/raide. This would creat more meaning to them. The Wife and childres, if they died, they died (you sould need to mary again, and make new childres). The companions, if they were killed, they could be resent into the tavern (like they were before being recruted). In my opinion, this would also increese the deep of the game and the immersion - Now you could really loose. with no more disposable soldiers companions that could die (and be reseted), every figth would become importante, and in every chance you could really loose.

Could you make the folowers numbers low like (the largest lords group with max of 50 /60 soldiers), but the normal one´s with 15 / 30 ? Like tribes, band of brothers. The huge number (200/400) would be only activated/possible with the union of all lords of the faction, or with allies. So you could raid villages with 5 / 6 soldiers, and matain a fort with 15 /20, and a city with 35 /50.

More expensive to mantain a soldier, and more dificult to upgrade them, would make more realistic and demanding - it would allow a deeper immersion, demand a better fight skill, and it would set appart from the other mods (because they are all focus on huge armys). In history, great numbers we only saw on Roman empire time, and somthimes into the midle ages).Vikings raiding party was usualy really small (30 to 150 men).

Every mod we have huge armys (it´s al the same). In every mod we are pushed to quickly became generals and kings, conquere all the forts and cityies (a than the game end the fun), with little chance to imersion, with little chance to experience a soldier/brigand/a small band of brothers lider life and raide (with other objetive than conquerer all the cityes and forts).

If we, as a tribe, could have advisers (or the companions/wife with the ability of advisers), and be able to make aliances with other tribes (small lords), raide with them in order to raise our numbers, instead of the default way (that allow us to recrute huge armys). If we could be a tribe (with the abilite to make peace, allyes, invite to raide or be called to help in a figth) withouth the need of land (fort and citys).
