I ran into the same issue early on, so I feel for you :( The uninstaller should definitely tell the player to beware losing your save games!

I like to bind Mouse3 to Reload. However, in this mod, Mouse3 opens up the group command window if I have a group of stalkers joined up with me.

This happens when Fanatic joins me for tutorial quests. I can't reload because Mouse3 is assigned to this group menu and there is no option in the bindings to change it.

I looked in user.ltx but did not find the bind. How can I change/remove this binding? Why is it forced to Mouse3 and not able to be changed in the game menu?

This mod uses early build levels; lost alpha redesigned and cut down/added on to early build levels. For example, Lost Alpha's Garbage is around half the size of the actual early build level.

Lost Alpha and OLR are two very different mods. The former is filled with fanfiction plot and nice looking levels; the latter is filled with a ton of content and is much more charitable to the early builds, especially in terms of horror, atmosphere, and design.

Are there any renderer optimizations? Sunrays even on GTX 980 @ 1.4Ghz drops to under 50fps during morning and evening, d9-d10 modes both.

I get sunshafts on DX11 but they are very light and not very noticeable compared to the vanilla CoP or Clear Sky.

Will there be an option to disable blowouts? If not, can we reupload 2.04 as an option for those who do not want the blowouts? For now we are sharing 2.04 privately but it would be nice to have it as an official option!

How do you disable or change keys for the Aggressive/Passive/Mark and other modes? Every time I change my weapons via numpad, I see this text and it is distracting.

So, what are some direct changes you are implementing to make CoP more like the previous games, to fix these empty-world problems? I read you are changing the Bandit faction and making the main character an outsider--how does this change the gameplay in practice?

The problem with CoP for me is that there is no life. No NPCs interact in an organic way, and the only gunfights I ever experience are during scripted missions where I am expected to shoot someone. Mutants are a bit better but are still very sparse and only seem to spawn in static areas, making them spectacles and nothing more.

Are we getting new levels? Are you redesigning the three levels we have? Will a-life be expanded and reworked to actually represent -life- or will it still be like a stale and static museum display?

Too often CoP mods are basically reskins with new weapons. The better mods are complete overhauls that try and recreate the design of previous Stalker games. I have not found a CoP mod that simply tries to fix the game-itself to be more living and to give players more to experience. SGM seems to the closest thing, but most of its content is bound by quests, and is still not an organic world.

I agree. CoP is just big barren expanses with tiny pockets of detailed areas. There is nothing to do in this game D: I hope this mod will add more unique and detailed areas to all of the game and not just the tiny ones the vanilla game had--new tunnels, forests, buildings, and things like this would make the game feel new and improved.

Tried using vanilla shaders and see if performance improves? Might help narrow what is a big cause of fps drop.

DX10 can't even run 60fps on a GTX 980, thanks to the sunray unoptimization--mornings or evenings brought the game down to 30-40fps. I don't even wanna *think* what a DX11 renderer feature would do to the poor frames :(

Is there any way to get the clear, sharp, amazing shadows from Lost Alpha to the other Stalker games? SoC has very low draw distance for shadows and a very small resolution. No shader I have tried ever fixes this, and the -smap option has never worked for me or for other players I have asked.

Thanks for the tip. Restarted and ran through the start again, and his door opened this time.

Hopefully this isn't gonna happen later on... that door was permanently locked on my save. Only unlocked with a new game.
