I've been writing C++ code (my forte) since 1999 plus a plethora of other languages since that point. My first mod was released in 2000: Spud Gun Mod, for Half-Life 1. This preceded my work on Firearms for Half-Life 1 beginning in version 2.65 and continuing on through Firearms: Source for Half-Life 2. I currently work as a simulation software engineer and technical team lead for a research company based out of Kennesaw, GA, USA which specializes in military training games for the US Army and other government agencies.

I really like it... some of the melodies could easily be used for ambiance or musical cues just by themselves. That would of course require the development/implementation of an audio system that supported those features since the Source Engine doesn't support that out of the box in the version of the engine that is made available to mod makers.

I had started a server-side, plugin-based bot project for FA:S a while back, but I haven't had the time to complete even the first version. Once 2.0 is out the door I'll be able to dedicate some more time to it. I plan on releasing the source code for the plugin bot to the community as an open source project.

Have faith my friend :)

I'm actually planning on developing a server-side bot plugin for FAS. I've got the code started, it is just really slow going because of all the other work I am doing on the mod itself. I have thought about making the plugin code open-source once I get the first build working.

Congrats on your upcoming release. I look forward to taking a look at it.

BTW, @ Christian: The achievements won't happen unless they use Steamworks iirc; unless they "hardcode" them.

Indeed it is back :) As you can tell, the artwork is completely different though. We basically started over on it, but the concepts are still the same--with some extra twists.
