It looks like some non-steam Half-Life versions don't like mp3 files compressed with joint-stereo option. I recompress music with "lame -m s Half-Life09.wav Half-Life09.mp3" and music start to work.
Does this music fits to this mod?

I would request that the translated spawner files be made available separately just like guide PDF file with instruction to integrate them if user wants to.... that would make things manageable for users that are using pre-existing spawner variations like Atlas spawner and spawner suggested by the user gangster-piggy in comment section waay back dated 12 Jan 2019.

Thank you for the instantaneous response and video guide i am truly grateful.
I have played the game using the suggestions provided and have made a cocnclusion
the kostya-USB cache backpack for old village region is either glitched or spawning at different region.
reason 1: in video guide at 4:48 kostya dialouge explicitly translates giving hint to the tree whereas in your mod version it talks about warrior scout disguised as monolith and in the PDA objective,which is completely translated in proper english by the way, it states "find corpse of military officer ... wearing a monolith uniform"
Solution (not-recommended btw) (for now) [& further evidence that only mission-4 cache is either spawning at different location or not spawning at all aka broken]
Using spawn menu i got the old village mission flash drive and went to perform last cache location of quest (mission-5) from kostya and found the cache at the location displayed in the guide thus completing the Kostya-USB mission questline.
I don't know what is causing this different branching within mod. Could it be the NS2016 team changed location later on after publishing the guide or you did it? just like how you changed army warehouse wolf fetch radio from ATP quest [the guide has different suggestions].

caches spawn at their given location and charon cache quest completed as a result.

hint in PDA says to find a dead soldier corpse with monolith uniform
in guide this mission points to christmas tree
i have no idea what is going on as no soldier corpse spawns on old village and no cache spawns under christamas tree hinted in guide...?

Wow . i have a lot of catching up to do . a new cumalative patch + feb micropatch update.
so here are my questions
1) would cumulative patch require a hard reset aka new gameplay to take effect?!
2) i have not yet updated to new patch but i have run into a problem
the kostya 2nd chapter of cache missions 4th mission aka old village backpack did not spawn at the location given in guide and the hint translates to searching the store which also leads to a dead end . this quest is active before i start old village, panther, konglov story line [from guide] if the location of cache has been reset please provide a little spoilerish assistance.

It lags because of stupid graphic mods. I turn off reflections and other useles stuff in enbseries.ini and everyting start running much smoother. But, not perfectly, idk what to do.
It will be good to publish one screenshot or video every month. I am especially interested with maps d1_trainstation_05, d2_coast_10 and d3_c17_08.

i just want to chip in my find a youtuber whole walkthrough of NS 2016 parent mod by "Shkrek & Klick" or just type in query on YT search "Сталкер. Народная солянка 2016" and get 50+ video playlist... works like an augment along with the pdf guide prepared and distributed by codex_ sir.
now for the problems i have verified:
1) captain kuzlentsov mission has loophole of getting reward item transmutator besides finding and retrieving the bag via booze em up buddy route and this leaves the mission broken .. as in you get the reward the dialouge tree deletes but mission parameters remain within pda and then getting bag just checks one parameter but captain just does not re-engage with the player.
2) I reverted to an earlier save where i meet swamp doctor at pripiyat after initiating charon caches questline and get strelok pda mission breifing text which is broken as in "tex_strelok_pda" is displayed this is the article ID in xml files for gameplay which i accedently found when searching for game mission parameters for find sniper modded rifle for voronin which by the way is not at the location hinted by you codex_ sir in earlier comments section.
so these are the total of 3 things i have validated uptil now besides the accidental headshot of shrnyu at ATP when doing the changed mission for wolf present at the army warehouses .. BEFORE meeting with kalinin *internal rage* aaaaahhhhhhh
so 4 things in total....

Well unfortunately i have experienced the EXACT same points during my encounter . you wouldn't happen to be above weight limit of say > 290 weight units by either using in-game (further) custom modded items or directly modding player actor weight carrying capacity? beside the items provided by NS2016 mod?!
If the answer to this is yes then .... keep your active inventory weight below 290 units at every time otherwise this behavior will trigger every time.... at least for me it does.
If weight value is not the issue then i do not know the reason for this problem happening to you... probably some xray engine compiled failsafe mechanism in the executable as part of patch v1.0006 multiplayer functionality anti cheat or maybe a side effect due to implementation of pouches backpacks and other custom storage script mechanisms within the NS parent mod...maybe!!!
ATM my speculations are as concrete as any other casual player of the game with little glue logic skills to set up and run the mod alongside the base game.

Yes ... by case i presume its the same case which was for barman ?! i first completed cordon chores and went to agro following vanilla story line .. and the captain and sentinel there (agro) russian dialogues spoiled to nothing ... i go back and cordon captain settles for booze for my efforts and hands over item on said booze .. but case point was not ticked off when i got it (one for barman)
2. yes kalinin exactly .... after his first mission he gives find bandit leader shinryu mission which states he is at ATP proxy but the mentioned target leader doesn't spawn or is not at ATP !!!!
i am asking because at this point i am playing the game while consulting the NS Guide to complete objectives since this is my first run after 5 years break from the game so i am out of touch and in NS guide there is no mention of this character...
PS 3... also i noticed that strelok pda mission just puts tex_pda_strelok something in active mission PDA?! i have transistioned to 15 dec micropatch but i think the previous micropatch savegames are incompatible...

First of all happy holidays and a great big thanks for bringing proper english translation to
this NS mod version.
Now the hiccup i am facing . the guide provided for this version of NS
just mentions hints and spoilers of captain in cordon and his mission to
obtain transmutator but unfortunately i was playing that with nov micropatch so
that dialogue was still in russian which was translated at that moment using smartphone google
translate ... long story short i got the item ...via what was discussed in the dialouges..but the mission to bring case is still there and i don't know if it is tied to any other mission in game or simply gotten broken as NS guide does not mention about it any further.
EDIT hiccup-2: Also there is no info on NS guide of ATP person, when you complete stalker shoc mission story line and successfully escape into ATP from the reactor, and its related mission [the NPC just does not spawn on the map]
PS please bring this project to ultimate fruitation .

Yes it's common issue. You have to change mouse sensitivity in options.
To be honest it works both with WON version (use console to load maps) and with non-steam version. But it was developed for steam version.
First map d1_trainstation_01.bsp crush the game but other maps works. Ravenholm also works but have some bugs.
I noticed some bugs in non-steam Half-Life.
1. Quick save, quick load doesn't work.
2. Music doesn't work (you may consider using wav format for music)
3. When I press elevator button I get error SV_Start_sound volume =2550
4. Grass 2D sprite is blue.

I would like to appeal to you for develop a mod that can be easily ported to Dreamast, PS2 and Xash3D. Or maybe someone else could fix this mod that will be compatible with non-steam version?
You can either delete client.dll or replace it from /Half-Life/valve/cl_dlls/client.dll
Could you guys create version that is compatible with old non-steam version? I can only play Half-Life in software rendering mode, and steam version doesn't support it anymore. It may also allow to port this mod to Dreamcast and PS2.

I've figured it out. The password contains 4 words with no spaces or any special symbols. Each word starts with a capital letter.
