Quintillius, This is such a refined mod for such a large amount of features and contents! I've been playing it for a while now, and Ulagchi Khan invited me to a tournament at Tulgar, which, I assume, is because of my growing renown. But when I attended a tournament, the mission said to talk to Ulagchi Khan to claim my reward. However, there seems to be no way for me to make the mission disappear as there is nothing to choose from to end the mission when I talk to Ulagchi Khan. Also, when I put on the Emperor Outfit, there seems to be a strange glaze when I look at me in Inventory, but when I click on me to turn me around a little bit, the glaze disappears.
Aside from a few bugs, this is a truly excellent mod! It shouldn't be a mod-----it should be an entirely new game!
Hey, FloraSimon, I see you are also a L'Aigle fan from China. I am from Beijing. Which part of China do you come from?
Actually, I crash too when I lead my soldiers into assault at Fort Henry and Donelson. I don't think it matters what soldiers you have or what equipment you have. Also, how can you get 120 Warcheifs? None of the companions can upgrade the Warriors. I now have all the companions, 80 CSA Elite Cavalry, and 20 CSA Best Shooters for infantry support. And I have to build Rum Distilleries in every town to pay my troops. How do you pay those Warcheifs which cost like hundreds of dollars each?
What I meant was that this change to hiring troops, while on the surface only a trivial modification, reflects the essence of the regimental system of the time. For example, for Britain, it had Webb soldiers, Howe soldiers, etc., and for France, it had Soldat de Rui, and so on. Although it is impossible to reflect the fully realistic military system of the time(Corps system of the Grande Armee, etc.), this essence can be shown in this mod. For instance, you can change to that system where you don't upgrade a Milicien Francais to Grenadier or Fusilier, but recruit these regiments(Fusiliers, Grenadiers, Imperial Guards, etc.) altogether in towns and forts, and recruit militias in villages, because a distinction must be made between the levels of sophistication of the troops in different settlements.
Docm30, I really like your mod, and I'll definitely vote for it. Furthermore, when you're working on the overhaul of the military system, I suggest that you look at Twilight of the Sun King. Although that mod is dead, the military system developed in that mod is, in my opinion, very similar to that of the Napoleonic era. And also, should you have the time, you could maybe revive Twilight of the Sun King. I think the two mods, if fully developed, can be a real marvel to behold. Thank you for such an excellent mod!
