I have started working on the Partisan AI, which is the largest piece of work left. After that it's just fixing the maps and the tutorials, and then I am done.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

In the Assault Squad rework some of these issues will be addressed. I am planning to make anti-air more effective against air units so they can actually target it from a distance.

The Axis Foreign Army will undergo a rework in the future (not in the first Assault Squad 2 release) because it has indeed too many (early war) redundant units. Notice that Axis Foreign Army wasn't though as a Italian faction but as a faction comprising some foreign units aided by German units.

I have also modified Japan quite a lot, for instance, in the next version they will have officers that accumulate experience and will unlock some special abilities and units. I know that Japan and Wehrmacht starts with few units but it is done for a reason: Wehrmacht has quite good units at the start, you can combine riflemen with MG squads to get a single powerful squad, and at the start you can get 2 of each kind. The MG-42 is quite good to suppress and kill infantry, while other factions do not get this at the start of the game (USA has 6-men squads but only with BAR, UK gets 6 riflemen only and a Support squad with the bren, and Russia gets only 8-men conscripts). Also notice that Japanese infantry has rank 3 on weapons so it's quite more accurate than other infantry squads, while Axis Foreign Army infantry and USSR conscripts start with rank 1, but they get more men. I will actually rework the Romanian support squad to include just 1 MG instead of 2 because it is too powerful at the moment.

In Assault Squad 2 trucks have auto resupply, so ammo shouldn't be an issue anymore, and also all light vehicles come with a repair kit by default.

The next version will also include 2 new factions: Waffen SS and Partisans.

Hi, the Flak41 command is based on structure placement commands like sandbags, so it is different than the command to shoot a rocket launcher. It might be possible but I need to try it out. I will tell you where the files for the actions are exactly because I don't remember right now.

They are now split in different campaigns

1. Tutorial
2. Battlefield
3. Battlefield - Large

You need to unlock them by completing the missions one by one. I think there is also a readme explaining how to unlock them all.

It's quite a complex process. It is better that you wait for the AS2 that will include the partisans and Waffen SS.

I am still working on it. I have completed the Waffen SS faction and the mod is ~75% ported to AS2. Probably there won't be the partisan faction because 8 factions are too much even for the AS2 engine. I managed to have 7 factions work without crashes but 8 are too much. Since I like more the design of the Waffen SS, I will keep that one in place of the partisans.

I will try to reproduce the bug but I am afraid it is one of the feared memory allocation problems. Meanwhile can you try to lower your texture details and disable water reflections?

In AS2 Japanese have voices, so no need to add them. I am not planning to update the MoW version any longer, simply because I don't have enough time to maintain two different versions of the game.

That is a very weird error: it is a bug in the destroyed model file of the m24 light tank, which I did not change. Are you sure that you are playing on the same version (1.17.5)? Unfortunately I left my laptop at work so I cannot try to host a coop game here, but I will check this out if I have time.

I know about the trees, but I think you only have problems in Battle of the Bulges map with that. Also in MoW Japanese had no voice, because they were released later as a free addon. As for the main menu, it already comes with a music.

I am currently porting the mod to MoW:AS2 which is better in many aspects. I managed to re-create all the existing factions, and I am currently working to improve the memory allocation of the mission by using less pre-spawned units, which caused crashes sometimes in the version you are playing.

After that two new factions will be released:
1. The Partisans that should have been released in the current version but were cut due to the problem above.
2. The Waffen-SS, but probably at a later stage.

I have also reworked some support commands (for example now the Armored Cavalry comes with a Sherman Jumbo 76 instead of the random tank destroyer regiment) and I have changed how Japanese Officers work: basically they have a new experience point system that unlocks new abilities for them based on their combat proficiency; they gain honour points when they are close enough to killed enemy units, in a way similar to shared experience in RPG games.

Are you using Men Of War 1.17.5? You can see the version number in the main menu when you launch the game.

Thanks for the support. The game does not support coop officially (I have never tested it) but it should work because some people told me they could play coop without problems. What kind of error do you get?

Done. Once it has been approved by an admin, you will be able to see the tutorial in the Tutorial section. If the pictures are too small, just right click and select "view image". It should open them separately in the browser.

You have to unlock them playing them in order or read the readme.txt file to find out how to unlock them (you must use a config file that I provided). Every time you win a scenario the next one is unlocked.

Sorry, for some reason there is an older version of the manual in the folder. The crashes are related to the fact that MoW can allocate at most 2GB of ram but the mission file might require more, so when it does the game will crash. There are some solutions to this:

1. At the beginning of the mission, after you chose the setup and starting units have been spawned, save the game and then immediately reload. This helps garbaging the unusued memory.

2. Lower your texture detail to medium and, if necessary, disable water reflections (on both my PCs only lowering to medium fixes all crashes).

3. If you want to keep high texture settings, lower the texture to medium, then load a battlefield scenario, then rise them again to high.

4. Save in separate files so that you don't risk losing your game to crashes happening while saving.

I am sorry about this but there is not much I can do about it. I think that this will be solved only by porting the mod to AS2 that is capable of allocating more memory.

Check for typos in the folder name and also its position. It should be placed in the root folder of mow and called "mods"

Yes I am planning to port it and vanilla version will be enough. New units from dlcs are always available for modder they are only locked in multiplayer. The new units from the ostfront veterans are accessible in the editor but in the worst case I can use their counterparts from GSM or Robz
