You'll need to find the binhex value for 32 and replace that.
Try to validate your install. It sounds like you're missing your dunia.dll file.
If unmodded plays fine, but you have trouble launching after adding the mod, copy the Far Cry 2 folder somewhere simple like c:/FarCry2
That's not something that we'll do in this mod. If we could make them purchasable from the weapon computer then absolutely. I never had any luck with that implementation.
The weapons are powerful, and the game is intended to be played on Infamous Redux.
Correct. You need to leave the game capped at 60. That's why it's set that way in the launcher.
Leave the frame cap set to 60, and enable v-sync in the game options.
You just copy the files from this mod to your FC2 install directory.
You don't need to make any new folders. All of the .dlls you are referring to come from your installation of FC2.
1. Install FC2
2. Copy the files from the mod to that same directory. Say yes if/when prompted to overwrite.
3. Play mod
Dunia.dll comes from the FC2 install. This mod only uses your original dunia.dll
If you don't have dunia.dll, you need to reinstall Far Cry 2.
Wow. I definitely see what you mean in that second video.
I've never seen anything like that in this game. Definitely try with a vanilla FC2 install and see if you still get it.
Looking at the settings - does the issue occur when everything is reset to default? AA off make any difference?
Can you share a screen recording of this? I don't think I've seen that before.
Does it happen without the mod installed?
Yep
Hey thanks for the support. I don't have any time these days to mod.
If you want to fork Redux for FC3 go for it.
A lot of these things are outside the scope of this mod. I recommend playing on the hardest difficulty for a challenge.
Are you able to see enemies through walls at all using this mod? If so, something is wrong.
I do encourage you to download all the mods you like, get the mod tools from this page, and then make your own perfect mod. There's no better way to understand which files do what than by poking around.
The the tables with prices, loot, etc. are .ndb files. Weapon damage is handled on a per weapon basis, via the weaponname.fcb file, which can be edited when converted to .xml
Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out.
I don't think I've ever heard of there being no guard at all.
This is happening with the current version of this mod, and you're launching the game with the Multi-Fixer with the frame rate cap enabled?
Have you manually rescued all of the buddies? Regardless of which mod or version of FC2 you're playing, it's always a good idea to go find all of the buddies ASAP without being prompted.
After doing that, go do a buddy mission from the bar, and then fast travel and sleep in a safehouse. That usually kickstarts the mission code if something has gone wrong.
They're the same aside from one texture file so I don't think that's it.
I'm not sure what could be causing that issue. You may want to try Scubrah's mod and see if the problem persists. It's a great mod, too.
1. Does changing your settings to Ultra fix this issue? Specifically Geometry?
2. It looks like you have a high refresh rate monitor. I know it's annoying, but you should really cap your frames/refresh at something lower. I recommend a synced 60 for stability, but the game is safe up to 85. This needs to be set in the Multi-Fixer launcher, and you should always launch FC2 with that program via the shortcut or .exe
#2 should at least fix the floating physics objects seen in the original video.
What settings are you using? I'm noticing a lot of issues in that video. The weapons also appear to be floating, and their LOD is very low the whole time.
So even if you game generates a new .xml file, it still crashes on the next boot?
This is a random issue that only happens to some users.
Let's try a few things:
1. Remove the .xml file from documents/mygames/farcry2 - this will reset all options to default.
If that doesn't work:
2. Completely uninstall FC2 and delete everything in the Far Cry 2 directory. Reinstall the game, and then ONLY copy the patch.dat/fat into the data folder. Download and install the Multi-Fixer from github to a simple directory like c:\FC2 - Github.com - Launch with the Multi-Fixer.
Let me know.
What do you mean, specifically?
Wow. I've never seen him on that side of the chair before. I don't think this is a bug from the mod. I'm not sure what you could do aside from loading an earlier save.
If you have a save before the start of that mission, try doing a different mission first, and make sure you fast travel at least once. That should hopefully reset the AI.
Worst case, just do the other objective and press on. This shouldn't keep happening.
I've never encountered this specific issue, but pretty much any problem with NPCs is related to physics/framerate.
Make sure you're always launching FC2 via the Multi-Fixer in the bin folder, and leaving the frame cap enabled, using DX9 and enabling V-Sync.
Load a save and try to interact with him. You should be good to go.
If you still have this issue, please take a short screen recording and I'll take a look.
Yes, but it can be tricky. I would ask him exactly how to do it.
I think you'll need the dunia.dll, and at the very least his .lua scripts from the domino folder concerning missions.
There could be other necessary files.
Have you changed any controls? I can't replicate this.
If this continues to happen, please share a brief screen recording.
You can swap the walk animations with the safe hold animations. In this mod, I've swapped most of the crouching walk animations like this.
Thanks. Glad you're enjoying it.
Yes. Unpack the mod, and delete the files/folders shown here: Docs.google.com
I've uploaded this version. It might take a few hours to become accessible.
