On linux Issues:
I'm on linux mint 11 (distribution based on ubuntu natty).
The game did not work with the version of mono I could get on synaptic.
The game works since I added a ppa for it.
---
On the game:
Please, give us the ability to change the key to speed up the pad, having my fingers on j, k, and n at the same time really hurts !
I'd like to speed up the pad with h for instance.

The rest is pretty good ^^
But I will not play the game again until it's possible to control the pad with the keyboard without hurting myself.

This game looks impressive, I will buy it soon.

By the way, I was wondering if the source code is planned to be opened someday ?

I gave up making it work

But here is a new workaround:
Qjoypad will allow you to map buttons of your controller on the keyboard.

Okay, so in desura/common/cave-story, there is DoConfigure.
The problem is, the commands seems binded at random.

I don't thinks we can do anything with a ps3 type controller because direction is on the left sticks and the buttons are assign on the D-pad.

For simpler controller, there is still hope. I've seen that if you bind commands, quit then open DoConfigure again, all the buttons are assign to the upper setting.

From now on, two solution:
-A workaround, if someone find a way of defining the buttons for a PS2 type of controller, I hope he will post it here
-The linux program to do the configuration is a libre software, open source, so I someone knows C++, he can fix it.
