It sounds like you're completely missing the point of the tutorial.

There are some things in the trailer and the screenshots that didn't make it into the beta release. If I can complete the game you'll be able to wear the enemy uniform in some levels. I don't have a proper save/load system just yet so I put in that checkpoint system at the last minute. If there is a second beta release I'll probably add a couple of checkpoints so people don't have to backtrack as much.

I anticipated some awkwardness for some players. Games like Prince of Persia and Flashback felt very similar but of course those games were released many years ago. I believe it's a system that still works once you get used to it. Hopefully the next release will allow users to remap the buttons and use a gamepad.
